EURO and US mounting points are not the same and sadly US cars cannot use EURO cross bars. (Sadly because I had the same thought and have had a set of US rails and crossbars taking up space in the garage since 2013...)

Sorry, I have given up on it alltogether as the problem lies with the mounting brackets welded to the body and not something simple to modify or replace. I do find it a bit annoying that Mazda europe does not yet have a fix for this though...

Nobody has because they actually don`t fit EUDM cars.

You`re more than welcome to buy mine to try for yourself... The US version has two bolt holes in each "corner" of the roof for the rails to attach to, while the Euro only has one hole to attach a bolt to and this is in addition in a different position and will not line up to ANY of the mounting...

The rails for US cars do not fit euro cars. Ask me how I know... (sad1) We`re stuck with the ugly roof rack which if I am not mistaken only has a 50kg weight limit.
