What did you pay for your CX-30?

How does that match up to MSRP? Getting a car @ MSRP these days is essentially a "good deal". I looked at HR-V and Seltos before I got my CX-30; those dealers wanted $2500-$5000 over MSRP.

What did you pay for your CX-30?

I have to say that if the entire industry moved away from haggling, and you pay the listed price, like Tesla, I could get on board with it. So much easier.

How did you break-in your engine?

Is "break in" really a thing on most cars anymore?

What did you pay for your CX-30?

You gotta work the phones, and call as many dealers as possible and maybe you strike gold. But some dealers are more willing to negotiate the market adjustment if you are "local" - they actually want to sell their limited inventory to local residents rather than folks swooping in from out of...

What did you pay for your CX-30?

Paid MSRP on a Preferred, plus a $500 Mazda loyalty rebate. Honda dealers wanted +$2500 - +$5000 for an HRV; same with Kia dealers for a Seltos. (although some of this was "protection package", rather than straight "market adjustment".

    CX-9 tachometer HUD

Well, I don't have HUD in my Mazda, but I do have it in my Hyundai. I can't think of anything that is displayed -- or can be programmed -- in the HUD that doesn't need to be be there. All of it helps keep my eyes on the road: Speed Blind spot warning Lane keep warning Collision warning (if...

Any way to prevent rear view camera from getting wet ?

I get all that. I'm not saying that back up cameras are bad or unnecessary; but they are an aid--that's it. They are not fool proof, and they are not infallible. They have limitations. If it's unsafe to back up without one, then I guess everyone needs to stay home when it rains. Here in PA...

Any way to prevent rear view camera from getting wet ?

How about your eyes and the rear windshield? The back up camera is just an "aid" to assist with backing up; the warning says not to rely on it. This is just physics.

    SD Nsvagation Card VS WAZE

I agree with @pcrdoza. The only other benefit to any in-car nav system is dead reckoning. If you lose your satellite signal (think about if you've ever gone thru a long tunnel), the in-car system uses input from the car's speedometer and steering system to keep showing where your car is, with...

Auto Headlights, Auto High beam, Auto Wipers, Auto Dim Quirk

This just makes the car work like many people without this feature drive. I can't tell you how often I am blinded by some numbskull with no clue their hi beams are on. My guess is that the rain is messing with the cameras that detect oncoming lights. The auto headlights come on based on a...
