I have a 2019 Signature turbo. Debating between holding on or buying a 2024 Signature as a new car. But I’m wondering if there have been enough changes and improvements to justify the change. I know about the new grill and the bigger infotainment screen of course but what else would justify the expense? My sales rep says it’s now a “much better car” but didn’t mention big changes. Thoughts?
I will share my experience moving from my 2020 Signature to the '22 I currently have.
The changes made in those two model years made it feel like a much more substantial vehicle.
The upgrade to the newer Mazda connect system alone brings it ahead in leaps and bounds.
The improved headlights that are now much brighter make a big difference in nighttime driving.
The car feels more solid and dampened now. That one is hard to describe but the vehicle feels more substantial in my '22 than my '20. I suspect the additional sound insulation adds to this quality.
There were more than enough changes from 2020 to 2022 that made it easy for me to make the jump, I suspect with the addition of the wireless CarPlay in '24, among some other minor cosmetic changes, it would be a fairly easy decision for you to move into a '24.
Seeing how it's due for a refresh/update in '25, and Mazda's most recent designs/decisions (CX90, CX70, CX50) haven't landed well with some of us Mazda fans, you may want to grab a 2024 before you can't anymore.
In my opinion, the 2024 cx5 is the best version of the car to get, it's been refined and improved for many years and it's in its finest form right now.
Have you gone to check one out? That could seal the deal for you!
