What we are all forgetting is that the fuel pump is cooled by the fuel that it sits in. Continually running the car super low will aid in the shortening of its life. I try to refuel at 1/4 tank but admittedly it does sometimes do down to when the light is on.

I think when I go to do this to my wife's CX-5 I will look for power in the overhead console and eliminate the need to run wires down to the fuse area.

Well if you are putting 12,000K in, then by all means touch the bulb with your fingers, it will burn out faster and we won't have to look at the God-awful light. Regardless of what you think, 12,000K is not for anyone who drives on the street and cares to see at night without annoying others...

I vote PD, I have everything on my MINI PDed and love it. It will last a couple of years with no maintenance but it is so easy and cheap to redo.

I have bought something like this in a group buy a couple of years ago for a CX-7 we had. I wish I had never wasted the time. You get what you pay for and the unit had so so software, acted like a unit that was 3-5 years old technology.

The MINI halogen headlights are crap IMO, Xenons are a must...plus they look way better when you look at the front of the car. I will be taking delivery of my 3rd MINI this week, so I fully understand. At least with the CX-5 it had projectors, looks more modern.

I prefer to remove parts and PD them, taping off and cutting around is such a pain.

I'm sure glad ot be on a forum where it isn't way cool to drop in HID kits that are so blue. Refreshing change from the crap on most sites.

Don't forget, the torque came on quick with the CX-7 because it had a turbo. The turbo will make much more power and much lower, making the car even more efficient if you can keep your foot out of it :)
