The Mazda badge (the one that says 'Mazda') on my hatch has a hole behind it (for mounting the badge). I noticed Edrive73 took the badge off. Did you have to fill the holes?
The answer is....
You need to use a 'brake caliper reset tool'. I rented one from Autozone. The procedure in the previous post may work, but I wouldn't try it.
I replaced the pads and rotors today and can outline the steps for anyone who wants to know. Piece of cake!
Can anyone tell me what tools I need and the sequece for recompressing the caliper piston on a rear brake pad replacement. I have heard several senarios about how this is done.
One involves an alley bolt that backs the piston and the other involves a special tool that compresses the piston...
I had someone take a look at it and they seem to think it had an aftermarket 'Polysheild' applied to it. Will the above mentioned products remove this coating, or is there another technique I should follow?
I just removed the side moldings on my 2004 lava orange 3 and there is a distinct color difference where the moldings were. Lighter (or maybe brighter) orange. Is this from oxidized paint? Any suggestions on cleaning up this mess????? I bought the car used with 16000 miles so I don't know...
love to see your pictures, but I found a good thread full of pictures...now I am on my way out to pull off those moldings...I think it inproves the look tremendously.

Thankx guys...turns out there is something wrong with the ECU is guess...the new key fab is sending a signal and the directions listed above are correct, but the darn thing won't program. Hopefully the dealer tech can fix it under warranty.
WOW!!!! Let me know if you have a link or hardcopy reference on that OEM rack. Thule is an option, but the rack on the P5 looked alot nicer.
Thankx again for the responce.
Thankx for your responses. I still could not get it to work so I am going to have to bite it and see if I can get a resonable price on programming from the dealer. I did try a new battery..thankx for the suggestion.
