Thanks for the info! My 2016 CX-9 has just started having problems with cold-weather reboots. It occurs very consistently below 25F. I've made 3 videos so far, but now with the TSB I feel more confident that I can make progress getting this thing fixed at the dealership without the need for...
If you keep your fob in your pocket, the stuff in your pockets could be pressing on the remote buttons and draining the battery. Just an idea. See here https://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123859832-Got-my-first-real-ding-on-my-CX9&p=6507306&highlight=#post6507306
On my 2016 CX9, I need an additional 14 inches of room for the rear gate to clear. I measured it as follows: I measured the distance from the rear bumper to the garage door. I then raised the hatch until that distance was at a minimum and then measured the distance to the garage door again...
Thanks, all, for your replies. My issue is primarily with FM reception (my SiriusXM is actually quite good). Just yesterday I was listening to an FM station and a different station cut-in for a few seconds. So the receiver seems to have an issue discriminating neighboring stations. It is...
Has anyone had reception problems with their FM radio? My 2016 CX-9 has always seemed to struggle compared to my other cars. At times, reception will be strong and clear while at other times the reception will periodically break-up.
Your mpg will get higher as you get past 1500 mile. My 2016 FWD results are shown below. The CX-9 seems to drink a lot of gas while idling. So waiting at multiple red lights with the AC on can have quite a negative impact. See other folks experience here...
FYI -- Some additional discussion of the BSM behavior is here https://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123856655-2016-CX-9-blind-spot-monitoring-design-issue
During the first month of owning my CX-9, I found the rear hatch wide-open upon returning to the parked car. My wonderful wife made me this key-fob cover which has solved the problem. There is an inner pocket which has a stiffener that prevents the buttons from being pushed inadvertently. I...
I went with El Dorado Mazda in McKinney (Jason Drake was sales guy and was very good). I had planned to buy at a different (closer) dealership but at time of closing was told that the window sticker price was 'wrong' and should have been hundreds of dollars higher. I left immediately and went...
I live in Plano and have the 2016 CX-9. In my opinion, the AC works fine, but I highly recommend that you tint your passenger and driver-side windows. I went with Llumar 30 and it does make a difference.
Thanks for the info. I also found this place which seems to have great reviews http://www.artisticautobody.com/. I plan to get multiple estimates. (If the CX-9 had a SURROUND-view camera, then I wouldn't be in this situation!)
Where did you have yours done? Btw, the Llumar CTX 30 has a transmittance of 33% (http://w3.llumar.com/pdf/en/LLumarSpecsAutoDomestic.pdf) which puts me at 23.1% transmittance. I'm willing to risk the 1.9% infraction in order to stay cool during the summer ;-)
I finally got my windows tinted (driver and passenger only). I went with Llumar CTX 30 which has 33% light transmittance and 51% solar energy rejection. The picts below are both after the tint was installed. I think it is a good match of the rear windows. Btw, Texas law requires at least 25%...
