Rattling in the Rear, thought was fixed....

I have a similar noise in my '08 MS3. seems to be the trunk latch mechanism that keeps the hatch closed- when I lubricate it with WD-40 it goes away for a while, then comes back.

Need to replace quarter window glass- DIY?

Someone smashed the driver side quarter window glass in my 2008 Mazdaspeed3. I priced the replacement locally for $300-350!!! which is more than a windshield. All shops have said you must replace the molding and window as one piece hence the expense. One guy has a used one for $150. Has anyone...

    AC Question?

I've noticed the exact same thing on my '08 MS3 with 18k miles. I feel like the AC is getting weaker by the month and was thinking of taking it to the dealership to see if they can fix it. They recharged my Protege5 years ago for the same issue.

    What MPG are you getting?

I live in Austin, Texas and have been calculating my gas mileage for the past year with every fill up of 93 octane. I consistently get 20-21 mpg regardless of season. I commute 15 miles to work in mixed driving. I think a lot of depends on what additives are used in your area from discussion...

    Austin, TX Mod Friendly Dealer???

Hey y'all. It'd be cool to all get together to check out how each others cars look/sound etc in Austin. I drive a Silver '08 MS3 and see other mazdapseeds out there from time to time.

Needing new (wider) tires to replace my stocks.

I would also check out the Hankook ventus V12 evo tire. People seem to be really happy with them, and they received a great review in car and driver. http://www.hankooktireusa.com/ventusv12evo/Car_and_Driver_Tire_Test_062209.pdf I'm planning on getting them in stock size when my tires finally...

Getting into 1st gear in the Mazdaspeed without any jerking

I took my MS3 in today to get a tire patched. And predictably the mechanic stalled in 1st gear pulling it into the garage. Love that burning clutch smell. Seriously folks, our clutch engagement is non-conventional. I'd say that almost every person that has ever driven my car for the first time...

    Ms3 Mpg

I have a feeling for those of us in the South/West that a lot of the differences have to do with Ethanol. Here in Texas I think they can put as much as 10% Ethanol in the fuel. And I also drive it like I stole it in the city. But on the highway i'm like an old man for fear of cops. Once again...

MS3 is fun to drive with the following mods.

What model summer tires do you have in the 225/40/18 size? Are you running them on the stock rims without any adjustments? I've got 10k on my original rubber and I foresee needing new ones in a few months...

    Ms3 Mpg

I have been keeping track of my mileage closely for the past 6 months. I live in Austin, TX and drive about 30% city/ 70% highway consistently. Over the past 7k miles I have gotten between 20-22 miles/gallon. I've never gotten more or less than that but haven't taken any pure highway trips yet...
