Red Line (60103) Complete SI-1 Fuel System Cleaner on 2014 CX-5?

I won’t speak for theblooms, but I personally used B12 chemtool when I cleaned the intake valves on my ‘13 years ago. I squirted a little on the valves (those in closed position) and gently cleaned with a pick. I siphoned the solvent back out with a large pipette. Turned the crank and got the...

For those having Transmission Issues with their CX-5

Good question. I assumed those mileages were for other cars reported under this thread. Check their post and that’s how I read it, problems reported for their same model year at various miles but not their vehicle specifically.

For those having Transmission Issues with their CX-5

^said it better than I could have. I wouldn’t define the issue on whether or not it’s reasonable, but it’s rather unfortunate.

About the Mazda “Lifetime” transmission fluid

Skyactiv Transmission Fluid Analysis Thread check this thread out for data on wear levels. I was doing 50k on my ‘13 before it was totaled and changed the filter/cleaned magnet at 100k. Unfortunately that was a 2 liter so not direct apples to apples comparison for most owning a 2.5L. I’ll...

    I've tried 5 sets of ignition coils! 2020 CX-5

To echo others here, use only OEM ignition coils. What type of spark plugs are currently installed? If they’re genuine NGK that matches OEM spec or OEM plugs that may not be the culprit, but if they’re a different brand/purchased online from bad source (counterfeit) that could also cause issues...

    Spark Plugs: OEM vs Aftermarket

Any chance you still have the failed plugs handy? Id be extremely interested to see what they looked like (part markings, build quality, tip appearance). Thank you for sharing the heads up. I’ve seen many folks firing the parts cannon without realizing the issue was a failed spark plug.

    Spark Plugs: OEM vs Aftermarket

where did you source the 1 year old NGK plugs? Plenty of counterfeit sources out there, the OEM plugs are likely made by NGK which is why I ask.

    CX-50 Torque Steer issue

I have to really flog the pedal down on my 23 T to get the behavior you describe. It’s worse if the road surface is older and somewhat uneven. I have the cruddy stock Toyos and I’ve attributed it to that. Just the car really getting good grip under high torque in one corner or something and...

Which trim level for new CX-5?

It is a real pain to find. Look underneath the airbox. I circled the bolt that retains the dipstick in red

Which trim level for new CX-5?

I appreciate that, that was my philosophy when I purchased my ‘13 CX-5 Sport. I made a few small upgrades over the years like some cheap but vastly better speakers off Amazon. It was perfect for getting from point A to point B. I splurged on the ‘23 T though. At minimum I wanted the turbo and...

Which trim level for new CX-5?

Went from a ‘13 CX-5 Sport 2 liter that was totaled to my ‘23 CX-5 Turbo. It’s fantastic. Only drawback is average 25 mpg (30-40 miles a day round trip, over a mile uphill for 1000 ft elevation change is what is hurting mileage a bit), but she hauls ass and is a blast to drive.
