Replace the battery in the keyfobs. Mine would not open the tailgate when the battery was low. It was OK for unlocking/locking doors but wouldn't open the tailgate.

Welcome to Mazda. My 2008 CX-9 had a blindspot monitoring system, but didn't have auto door locks or an iPod connection.

Well good luck to all of you. I gave up waiting on a fix and bought a 2014 jeep grand cherokee. You plug the ipod in and it starts playing in a couple seconds and it resumes exactly where it left off when restarting the car. Imagine that. Not sure what Mazdas problem is, but they lost a sale...

(screwy) Tell them there must be a problem with your cd player then because it doesn't start at track 1 disc 1 everytime you start the car. (screwy)

I have a 2008 and bought a DICE after market unit. It disables the aux in and sirius but has an ipod connection that is accessed by pressing the SAT button.

That's the first report we have seen where Mazda admitted the problem. Sounds promising, although I'm leaning toward getting a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee now instead, although it has its share of early production issues too.

Bob - This is interesting news. So you keep an ipod plugged in all the time. You listen to a song, shut car off, return to car at some point later and your iPod resumes where you left off? This wasn't the case when I test drove a 2013 cx-9. I wonder if they fixed it. Is there a software...
