Yet another reason to change you own oil...

Oh, thanks Sleezer, funny I don't remember it looking that way last time I changed it myself, but I feel better knowing that it should not have damaged my engine. Also makes me wish we had standard spin on filters, they don't seem to look that way in any of the cut in half oil filters...

Yet another reason to change you own oil...

...and any other maintenance that you feel you can handle. I just had to share this as I was a bit shocked when I changed my oil today. 5000 miles on full synthetic. The plastic cap seemed a bit tight to me and when I removed the filter, voila, the unit appeared to be crushed. Last oil change...

Low tone horn added to factory high tone horn

One low tone sounds just as pathetic as one high; two of either are barely an improvement. To those who have done it, the hi/low is night and day difference. I think my low tone came with a small bracket, I just bolted both horns to the same hole on the stock bracket and went in through the...

Guide How-To Fix for Bose. Photo Essay

If you haven't seen it, the jack box is completely flush and matches the interior perfectly. I was told my the builder that it measures .7 cu ft which is plenty for the 8" that it was built for. I'm thinking of modifying it slightly to fit a square kicker to add a little more surface area. Not...

Guide How-To Fix for Bose. Photo Essay

Thanks for trying to shed a little more light on something that many members find difficult. I have one issue though, how do you feel that a big ugly sub on the seat is stealth? I realize it comes out, but then you have half a system. I personally chose the jack sub option pumping over 300 watts...

A/C is auto on? How to override?

You think that's bad, try a Mercedes or BMW to name a few. My Brothers 328 would only allow FULL fan speed when selected to defrost. If you turned down the fan speed manually, it would deselect the defrost vents. We all know how powerful and loud import heater fans are. Personally I used to...

PLX Multi Gauge - WOW gotta get one!

Didn't know where to post this and maybe it's not new, but do I ever want one.(cool) Check it out in action; http://www.plxdevices.com/multigauges.html Not cheap at all, but very sweet! I realize a Dash Hawk does all this for less, but I think this looks much better. I'm sure the price will...

    Lost BOSE Wiring Diagram/Under Seat!!

Yes Kain you're right it does go off with the car. A true remote wire, (usually for telling a power antennae to go up), goes on/off with audio power. Hooking your new amp up to this blue wire means than it is on anytime your car is on, even when audio is off.

    Lost BOSE Wiring Diagram/Under Seat!!

I'm sure I've read it before but I forgot and wired my amp to the blue wire. Maybe we could add an asterisk or a note to warn others that the blue wire IS NOT a remote, but in reality an accessory power wire that is always on with the ignition. Guess I'll have to go back and add a switch.
