I guess that the wheel speed sensor should be under recall since almost everyone here with the P5 have the same problem after having the car 2-4 year only. sucks mazda........ I got the same problem too.....with no ABS now until part come in.

sound like when i braking, there is something got lose and shake to make that knocking sound.

whenever when i backing up and brake, there is one or two knocking noise from the back of the car, is it the brake or what? i already replaced the rear sway bar bushing........ please help.

i got the same problem before, and it was the rear sway bar bushing....just bring it back to the dealer if it's still under warranty.

i got the knocking sound on my car when rolling slowly (actually from the back of car), but if drive over 20 km i cannot hear because engine noise is cover them, and i got my car in for warranty checkup, they said it is stabilizer link at rear need to replace.

if you got the same problem, you should send your car in for warranty, they are under warranty anyway. do you guys has little high pich sqeaking noise from engine, even on warm engine?

i got that too since i got my car for two months, and i got the car in and have the dealer look at that, but they tried to show me around all protege and protege5 they got in lot, all of them do that, so they said that is normal and there is nothing to warranty on it if all protege do the same.

haha problem solved, it is under warranty, what mazda need to do with my car is replace the stabilizer link at rear wheel and replace the suspension bushing.

i already called mazda this morning and have my car in on thursday since my warranty still good until september this year, and they will look at them, and i will keep this update here. BTW there is also stretching/clunking/knocking sound when go over speed bump too
