Looking for a Miata come summertime

I've owned 3 NAs and a NC. I've found them all to be super cars. It really doesn't matter which generation you buy, it'll be fun to drive. Recently, I bought another NA to drive in the winter months while our other cars sit out the winter roads. It has 118K miles, recent paint and top...

    New Guy old car.

I don't know about dropping the top; but, I think I'm going to get my NA out of the garage, in a little while. I'm suffering cabin fever. It's good to see some Miata owners showing up, now.

    KY Shows 2010

Though it doesn't appeal to me, Midwest Mayhem at Masterson Station Park in Lexington might appeal to you guys. It's July 31- August 1.

    KY Shows 2010

I show on a regular basis. In fact, I showed the Miata on Sunday. Just do a google search for kentucky car shows, if you're interested in anything more than a Mazda event. My Miata shows against vintage, hot rods, etc. It does fairly well, at that.

    Weekend Projects

It's been a while since I've dropped in. I thought I'd give an update on Little Red. This week, it's getting a new top and new carpet. With that, it'll be down to a few minor items that need to be done to give it a total refreshing. Most of that will be touching up the paint on wipers, over...

4/18/10 - OAC - All Mazda Event - Mazda Thunder IV - Louisville, KY

Tiffany, I've contacted two more Miata owners who have expressed an interest in being at Paul Miller, on Sunday. My wife might also come. She might even bring her RX-8. You'd better put a +3 by my ID, in your list.

    Hello Mazda Friends from Lexington

I met Tiffany at Bardstown, yesterday. Brad was there, as well. Brad and I know each other from car shows. He's one of my main competitors, when he shows up. We had a nice chat. I told Tiffany I dropped off this forum because there just wasn't enough activity in the Miata and RX sections...

4/18/10 - OAC - All Mazda Event - Mazda Thunder IV - Louisville, KY

I guess I met Tiff6 and her hubby at Bardstown, yesterday. We had a pleasant chat at my little Miata. I've added the event to my calendar, for next weekend. I'll not be in Louisville; but, I hope to be at Paul Miller. I'll plan to arrive around 1:00, for the fun. I might see if I can get a...

    New Miata owner

Congrats on the purchase. I had a 2006 Sport with six speed manual and loved it, except for the soft top when they came out with the hardtop. I think you'll enjoy your car for many years, if you take good care of it. We traded our Miata in on the Roush; but, I'd like to have another new Miata...

    Questions from new MX- ownder

It's been a while since I owned our '06 Sport; but, I remember the wording in the manual was such that I ran nothing lower than 91. Granted, it's a bit more cost to run premium fuel through the car; but, I knew that the day I bought the car. All of our cars use 91+ fuels. The latest Miata we...

    Oil Question

We have a Roush Mustang that has a supercharger. It uses the same 5W20 oil as recommended for the standard engine. However, Roush does recommend 3K miles per oil change.

Mazda Releases '20th Anniversary' Special Edition Roadster in Japan

I haven't tried a car with the paddles, yet. If that gives more control over the automatic, and I assume it does, that would eliminate my concerns. I hated going through curves and have the automatic shift at the wrong time. It could throw off one's performance. Not that I'm a racer; but, I...

Mazda Releases '20th Anniversary' Special Edition Roadster in Japan

What sours it for me is the automatic tranny in the hardtop version. That's the one I'd pick. I had the automatic in my first miata, a '95, and didn't like it. It was a great car, except for that. I had the 2006 Sport with a six speed and found the tranny was not as smooth as the one in the...

    Somernights Cruise!

It's at the Thompson-Hood Veteran's Center in Wilmore, KY. It's to be held August 22 from 11AM to 2PM. This is a family picnic held each year for the residents and their families. Most of these residents are pretty old and have to be pushed around in wheel chairs; but, they seemed to enjoy...

    Somernights Cruise!

Well, it looks like I won't be at the August cruise, after all. I found out the neaby Veteran's center is having their picnic on that date. We did a car show for them, last year, that was well received. Since these old folks have little to do, this is a big event for them. I can afford to...
