    Are your spade terminals not fried too though? I replaced the entire switch for ~$20....seemed easier than cleaning it. But yes, now I'm getting a couple random flickers here & there since my spades are still pretty bad. See my last post too.

    I just replaced the whole control switch and Im good....not sure for how long tho. Bad on left, good on right: My terminal is still jacked tho.... surprised just swapping the switch even worked. Not looking forward to splicing/spading it down the road: Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk

    Never installed components before....but am about to try tonight. Just curious as to where u guys placed the crossover & how it's workin out. Double-sided tape? Velcro? Inside of door panel? Kick panel? Door pocket? THX!

    Based on that, it sounds like the front door speakers had a crossover that lead off to the tweeters probably? I dont have the 2003...I bought the door-sail tweeter mounts separately, but havent plugged anything in yet. I'm now thinking I should just grab components & replace the tweeter in the...

    Lol nice 6 year thread bump! But while we're at it, did u use the same material as the OP? It seems to have gone up $3 since 2009 lol. Are there other alternatives to paying out wads for real auto sound-deadening tape?? I've heard about using "roofing tape" also. THX
