Yes to be clear - we have the same warranty coverage as Canada. Jsuch - thanks for the clarification. 2016 with the mileage if accumulated overtime and with time of manufacturing seems to most prone to this issue.

I am very sorry to hear this. Do you know when it was first manufactured? Was it MY2019 but produced in 2018 vs 2019 production? What's the warranty period in your area? In New Zealand - they provide 5 year warranty with unlimited mileage.

I traded in my Focus RS riddled with headgasket recalls / issues - and got CX9 thinking I would have Japanese reliability (and parted with Ford properly with no FoCoMo parts)… I have only done 15000km and understand it will be only low percentage of failures - but truly annoying to hear this

Interesting - my vehicle (RHD) also has reverse clunk occasionally. To me it feels more driveline and more noticeable in hilly area (my car park) than flat. Only when I move from stop to reversing then during the wheel rotation it clunks. It’s one off and then it’s clunk free. I haven’t noticed...

Why don’t you get a trickle charger like CTEK and see if it can be revived?

Is it normal to see the coolant temp going past half way? When driven on highway with good flow it comes down to 90 degrees Celsius but occasionally it goes up just above as in the photo. Mazda tech said it’s normal but I have never seen this in any of my previous cars. This is 2019 June model.

Same problem. Mine is on the drivers side vent. It seems for me most obvious when hot outside and AC blowing cold inside through the vents.

I would say if you live in flat area with gentle driving with idle stop on - you may only lose 2-3 MPG. However, if you are living up in a hilly suburb with more city driving (like 60% city) - you could almost half the stated MPG. I am getting 16-18MPG with 80% city 20% highway driving and I...

Thanks for the photos - last thing I want is the whole dash disassembly and it would be stupid to design the vent system like that. It seems it can be removed relatively easily; I will talk to the dealer / service manager about it at my next service in 3 months. I appreciate your posts.

Circled in red. With the door open, I can wiggle the red plastic surround and get the lateral (outside) part to dislodge but I can’t take it off completely.

Does anybody have an instruction as to how to remove the vent? I can pop the side of the maroon soft touch plastic but I am not sure how to get the vent out. Little rattle from that area is driving me nuts... Thanks in advance.
