UPDATE
I think it's actually the control arm or ball joint now... Check out my video below:
I looked around, but couldn't find any how-to's... I keep reading that it's hard to do by yourself and you have to have special press or lift to get the control arm/ball joint out.
Anyone have ideas...
So, I have this popping sound that has been around for about a year now. And it's progressively getting worse. So, I figure I should fix.
Year: 2003
Make: Mazda
Model: 6i (2.4L)
Facts
- Popping is coming from RIGHT SIDE car.
- Popping used to occur only when making right-hand turns, but now...
Went to replace the turn signal, but I guess I was a little heavy handed with the bulb holder thing. It had two little plastic tabs on it, but now only has one after I turned it really hard. Cheap plastic I guess.
Now the turn signal won't stay in place and it loses connection intermittently...
Yeah, my wife is short @ 5'3" ... so it doesn't bother her that much. But, everytime I get in it I have to swing it to the side or else I won't be able to see crap.
My 2003 had so much brake dust my old aluminum alloy rims looked like gunmetal black rims only a week or two after I washed and waxed it.
But, since earlier this year, I've change my brake pads to aftermarket Hawk HPS pads and the brake dust has decreased and INCREDIBLE amount.
Oh snap! Banned... ouch! Maybe if you really wanted to curse out a n00b like me you could have prevented it by being discrete and using the available smilie:
(fu) (Interestingly enough, I found it in the smilies list (2thumbs) )
All you Mazda6 owners...
Any solutions to the Limp Visor Syndrome (LVS)? The visor on my wife's mazda 6 is about as limp as a viagra client. I've tried the velcro thing, but haven't had any long term luck. The velcro just pulls off after a while.
That thing is so annoying, always drops down...
Howdy folks!
New here, just wanted to say "Hi". I own a 2003 Mazda6i. Actually, it's my wife's car, but I pretty much own it. I do ALL the maintenance. She just drives it around... darn women!
Sorry it does not follow forum rules. Delete/Lock if need be... I have a picture that I created for over at mazda6club.com (which still got locked), but didn't have time to create a pretty ad for this mazda247forums.com thread
