It was definately the O2 sensors. I drove it for a couple of weeks and all was fine. Even got the car inspected and car passed fine. Anyway I sold my P5 and bought a bigger wagon, a Volvo XC70.
RockAuto has two different brands for front strut assemblies. One is like $98 each and the other is Monroe for around $145 each. I bought the cheap ones and I am satisfied with them.

Google it. I had no idea but the alignment shop advised me of this after I replace mine. I had clunks coming from my front end after replacing the strut assemblies and end links. After the replaced the end links again no problems.

I replaced my drivers side mirror today and removed the door panel to undo the electric connection. I got it all put back together and now the passenger door lock just makes a whirring sound when I lock and unlock. Is this related or just a weird coincidence?

If the end links are overtightened or under tightened they will clunk. I am not sure the correct tightness because I messed up mine and had the alignment shop replace them and now that are fine and no clunking.
If the alignment is within factory specs the only thing I can think of would be the tires. I know they are new, maybe a tire rotation would help. I had the same problem after I put on new struts and sway bar end links but my tires had already been worn on the inside due to waiting too long to...
