From what I see the speed 6 has more potential in some ways, except the AWD doesn't seem to be rear biased like the evo.

I work for mazda, I get it real cheap, I'm a tech there, if anything breaks I get paid to fix it, the evo is very very quick, I don't drive it at 10/10's so I don't use the coolness of the evo. The speed 6 is a lot nicer inside. I'd like to get a 3" turbo back and intake on it when I get it...

I wanted to say hi this board looks pretty cool. I'm getting rid of my evo for a v red speed 6gt. I'm a tech with the mazda dealer here and am getting a pretty good deal since it's an 07 model.
