In my CX-5 on the highway going about 70-72 mph if I wanted to pass someone I usually have to wring it out sometimes going to 4th gear. I was wondering what the effort level is on the CX-9, especially on inclines.
I was reading through Mazda's Facebook post and one of their replies regarding a manual was that it won't be available with the turbo. Only the NA engine. Tis unfortunate if true.
My guess is the second quarter as the 2016.5 CX5 was announced in December, available in January then the 2017 models sold in late March/April.
I'm sure Mazda wants to empty the 2016.5 Mazda6 models for a few more months. Then my wild guess is a new Mazda3 might be announced at the NY Autoshow.
I was wondering if any one else had similar thoughts of comparing the latest turbo motors from Mazda? I'm excited for the CX-5 Diesel to enter the US market. I'm equally excited over the 'compatibility' of the CX-9's 2.5t motor in the 3, 6, and CX-5.
Any way, I'd like to hear some opinions...
Just speculating and comparing apples to oranges: When the CX-5 Diesel begins to sell - do you have any opinions on the driving characteristics of these two vehicles and the output of each motor after a tune? Just curious to hear some thoughts.
