Thanks Eibach for all the good years! (pics of broken springs included)

I've had my springs for almost 200K miles now, had some great times, great miles, lots of good abuse. I'm not posting this as a negative post, they really did last a while even after driving across the country towing a 2000lb trailer and a lot of driving on potholed forest service roads. Did not...

WTB: P5 or equivalent Rear Calipers

I'm looking for preferably a passenger side rear caliper to replace mine which decided to have the caliper adjustment screw rust and seize up, making it impossible to change the pads. I'm in Seattle, so I'd need shipping to 98102. PM me or email. thanks, Doug

P5 timing belt gone at 176K mi

About $1K also with water pump included. Unfortunately I didn't have too much time to price-shop or just sit on it and try to figure it out myself since I had a big road trip coming up in a few days.

P5 timing belt gone at 176K mi

I don't have the manual with me, but the little booklet that came with the P5 says that at 60K you should Inspect: Engine valve clearance, hoses and tubes for emission system, inspect/replace engine timing belt* *See Owner's Manual There is probably a slightly different recommended schedule...

P5 timing belt gone at 176K mi

I was on the highway, probably going somewhere between 60-70mph with the music blasting and the windows open, so I never really got to hear what it sounded like when it happened. I just felt the gas pedal sort of become unresponsive, so I pressed it more and there was nothing...First thing I...

P5 timing belt gone at 176K mi

Hindsight... ;) Well, at least now I know I have to change it again before I reach 325Kmi! Hey Mark! Life out here is pretty good. Lost the job earlier this year which threw things for a spin but now it's all back on track and the good Summer weather is still holding up! Maybe NEPOC should...

Just a PSA for changing it up and FYI if anyone was curious. My stock timing belt broke at around 176K miles. (boom02) Of course YMMV. (spin)

Pics - driving from CT to WA with P5

Not bad. PA was hilly, after that it was flat until the end of Nebraska, then got hilly again. On the hills I could keep it in 4th or sometimes 3rd. I just had to make sure I could keep the revs > 3500 or else the car would just slowly slow down - never went below 40mph going up a hill. Only...

Pics - driving from CT to WA with P5

Just a few pictures of the circus driving across the country... not as bad as I thought it would be hauling all that stuff. 5 days, 3200 miles, 52 hours driving, 56mph avg, ~$620 in gas, mpg ranging from 15-21, avg around 19 mpg: Loaded up: Somewhere not flooded in Iowa: Vedauwoo, WY...

Driving from CT to WA next week

Ha, yeah, the sunshine thing... just keeping positive. My gf is going to school at UW so we'll prob be not too far from there. She's in Shoreline now. Ideally I'd be in Bellingham or somewhere nearer the mountains, but that ain't happening. And detailing... no worries, NE winters and salted...
