i also had a smiliar sound. replicated when i move the steering wheel left to right repeatedly at half turn. what the service center did was re-lubricate the linkage part of the steering wheel with grease. reason being that the thai factory where my car was from used thinner grease. problem...

1.5l A/T on eibach, 185/55/15 tires same car on 205/40/17

on eibach, 1.5l m/t (front drops lower if A/T) 195/55/15 tires.

used that before with 205/40/17 tires. dropped on eibach springs. didnt experience any rubbing even on dips and bumps

mazda sells oem visors. third party shops sell aftermarket ones :)

thanks chief! bodyparts are either imported from thailand or copied by bodykit makers via pictures using fiberglass. the USDM front are for the sedan versions and 1.3l hatch. the 1.5l hatch has skirts and the nicer more aggressive front end which I DONT HAVE! lol.

i would say customization of the 2s here in the PI are in the mild side. mostly springs and nice wheels. :)

what's the offset? had those specs before at +45 offset, cleared of any rubbing issues. even installed 5mm spacers to push the wheels out. imo, those are good to go

have a 2010 model here in the philippines; world's worst roads. hehe. no problems with rattles so far at 30k kms

dont think it is. we discovered the noise back in july of 2010 and really had to bug mazda about it and gladly, they identified it as a defect and worked on a solution. 2 owners are being contacted by their service centers as we speak to schedule their replacements

they replaced the rack and pinion. it's an "improved part" or "permanent fix part"

update. no more noise! :D
