What tires winter tire should i buy?

Just put on 4 winter tires and forget about it. However, before, I have tried having only 2; both just on the front and just on the rear. In my actual experience (I have a big, empty mall parking lot beside my apartment building), with only 2 winter tires, having them in front is better...

What tires winter tire should i buy?

If you buy brand new winter tires, they will outlast your Protege5's body (from rust) hehe. Bought used Nexens (with 9/32 left) for mine

How to config the OEM remote starter?

I know how to start the car; 1. Press the top-most button on the right side 2. Press and hold for 2-sec the 'start' button (middle, right). Car starts fine. I have 2 questions though: 1. The default is for the car to run 10 mins until it shuts itself off. Can I adjust this to say, 15 mins...

    Overheating problem

Could be any of these 3 things: 1. Busted water pump; water/coolant stopped circulating through the engine/radiator 2. Hole in radiator (or hose) that leaks the water/coolant out 3. Busted radiator fan (unlikely if you still overheat while cruising)

Rattling when stopped and on gear (D)

Just got an OBD2. When at working temperature (~96C), stopped with transmission on D, vehicle idles at ~500 to 550rpm. Vibration can be heard/felt. It definitely is not the radiator fan. It's the engine idling really low (I guess this saves gas or something?) When engine is a bit colder (like...

Installing a volt meter. Where to attach wires inside car?

I got my OBD2 yesterday and was able to set it up properly with my smartphone. To my disappointment, my Protege5 doesn't have a Voltage sensor for the OBD2! Is this normal? I tried the OBD2 in my Mazda 3 and it sees a voltage sensor EDIT: It wasn't showing in Torque Free. I since bought...

    tires for a 2003 protege 5

Worry not. I just fitted 205/55/16 on mine. When loaded with passengers though, the rear tires seem to rub on something on speed bumps and sudden dips. My speed-o should be off by +5 Kph. I wouldn't worry about speeding though since it's almost winter and I'm in Canada. If I speed that means I...

Installing a volt meter. Where to attach wires inside car?

I'm trying to install a small volt meter to the dashboard of the car (I use a phone mount/charger in my cig lighter). I was wondering where's the easiest 12V + and - wires inside the car to access? I suppose also the cigarette lighter wires?

    Tranny mount

My "No.2 Engine mount bushing accepting the Rod from (1) Roller damper" is completely busted. Does anyone know what its purpose is and if I should bother to replace it?

who is leasing m3 hatches and what lind of deals?

$285/mo ? Is that all-in (including taxes)? If so, I am being ripped off here in Canada. For my BASE model SEDAN (GX, Automatic, air conditioning) lease, I pay $330/mo (Canadian $) All-in. That includes taxes and extended wear warranty (so I can return it with scratches and small dents)...

Will 15" rims fit my 2014 Mazda 3?

If I live in San Diego, I'd be on low profile Advan Neova's all year round (breakn). Also, my Protege5 wouldn't be a rust bucket. Heck, I'd be on a Harley with 2-wheels instead of a Mazda with 4. SoCal is such a nice place.

    Will 14" rims fit a Protege5?

Need to confirm with you guys if a 14" rim will fit a 2002/2003 Protege5? If yes, how would a 185/65/14 winter tires look like? Would it be too thin?

    2015 Forester VS 2015 CX-5?

Yah go ahead. I read the cargo space is spacious and the towing capacity is nice.
