COBB Tuning is considering expanding its line of performance shift knobs into the MAZDASPEED3 & 6 markets. We would like to gauge the interest from the MAZDASPEED community to see if this is something we should start producing. Let us know if you would consider buying a COBB Knob and if you have a color preference. Here is a bit of background information and a few photos of our shift knob:

The COBB Knob is a fusion of the highest quality materials that, when properly mated, produce a shift knob that feels as good as it looks. The COBB Knob is designed to keep those extended shifting sessions exhilarating. The blue anodized billet aluminum base is internally threaded to provide a tight fit onto the shifter shaft that won't come loose in the most frenzied of gear changes. The matte black delrin knob has a perfectly round contour to fit right in the palm of your hand. The package is complete with a COBB logo boldly engraved into the base to let everyone know whose knob you hold.

Then there is this cumbersome looking tool, but for very cheap. Similar to pipe cutters but designed for exhauts.

Have any of you guys done this? If so, just how easy a project would it be for someone totally clueless like myself to do? I've tried doing a search on here, can't find anything, so I'm pretty convinced that I'm doing something wrong. I've also considered removing the cruise control entirely, as I have no use for it, but had to reconsider in case I need to sell the car. Someone please help!!

Just would like to see if anyone else has noticed or is experiencing their a/c compressor cycling on and off for no apparent reason.

In the case my car I noticed it started happening when I would hear the cooling fan turn on in the engine, despite the fact that it was not hot outside nor was the a/c on including the defroster. This has started happening with more frequency and I am wondering if this is normal or is it something that warrants attention. Most of us know that IF you use the "auto climate" setting in the car, the a/c will run most all of the time.....even if you set the thermostat to 82 and its only 40 outside the a/c indicator light illuminates every time ? Odd behavior to say the least, if anyone has experienced similar actions please share. Also if anyone has a valid explanation as to why this is occurring, that would be welcome as well.

Hey guys just wanted to drop in and say I have been cruzing around this site for about 4 months now looking at pictures and just learning about the car in general. I finally pulled the trigger last wednesday and came home with this

I am really happy with the car so far. Let me know what you guys think. right now the only mods are a set of coil overs, and a ms cai. I dont want to get to crazy with performance mods I did that with my last car.

That car was a monster and fun to kill anything on the street, but now I wanted something a little more civilized, fun, and decent gas milage, and to have a little utility since I do a lot of cycling and other stuff. I am a big apperance guy and I am thinking about putting a set of black rx8 wheels on my ms3. Any other wheel ideas and feed back would be great.

Thanks

Went to my nearby Mazda dealer for service today, for my 08' CX7. Now, I did not buy my 7 from this dealer but I did get my 07' MX5 there. I have used them for all my oil changes and have always been extremely satisfied. I was greeted by "Kirk" the service manager, always a real friendly guy. I laid out what I wanted, oil and filter change, tires rotated and other fluid levels checked etc. I then mentioned that I had a faint clunk or creak from under the passenger side that has showed up lately and was most notable while shifting from forward to reverse and back. He immediately buzzed a number and within a minute or two a mechanic showed up and checked it out with me. He heard the noise and said fine, we'll take care of it right away. Well about forty minutes later Kirk came out to the waiting room and said "your all set Rich" and told me they replaced a motor mount, handed me the bill and my keys and said have a nice day. Total for service and repair $60....can't beat that kind of service anywhere. Five stars for Towne Mazda of Orchard Park, NY. btw..no more clunk. As a side note, you hear so many horror stories about bad dealer service, it's nice to be able to report something good.
