I just installed front fog lights on my Pro and it got me wondering, has anyone installed the rear fog light(s) on theirs? I wonder what the other switch blanks are for, the ones next to the dimmer and coin holder? I've seen the JDM kits for CRVs, but that's about it. Anyone got pics of Pros with rear fogs? BTW, ever notice how most people who have rear fog lights don't know how to use them. I hate watching an Audi, BMW, Benz, etc. going down the left lane with their rear fog light on, on a perfectly clear night no less. Any thoughts?

Thatsbecause most of us stupid ass Americans don't know what a "rear fog" is. Sometimes Ill be showing my friends pics of cars only sold oversears, and they are like "why are one of the taillights burned out?"

I haven't seen them on a Pro yet, but I did have them on my old Rodeo because I sent a lot of time on 4x4 trails in AZ once upon a time, sometimes in bad weather. I'd be stopped while trying to figure a clean route through some washed out section and I didn't have to worry about a newbie bombing along playing Mint 400 racer.

That said, is our Pro wired for it or have a vacant lens spot? I haven't noticed but that would be nice. If the wiring is there I'd stick in a bulb and switch.

I don't know if it's pre-wired. The front fogs were pre-wired. And the Pro is produced in Japan. So, maybe it is? The CR-V kits involve cutting out the rear bumper, but apparently the mount is already there, and the wiring too I believe - but I could be wrong about the wiring b/c it's been quite a long time since I checked into it. Possibly rear fogs are what one of the switch blanks are meant for?

They are used in Europe/Japan in heavy fog to idenitify your car when your normal taillights are hard to see by other cars driving behind you.

I have seen a few cars when the rear fog comes on with the taillights. It was when my mom was looking for a new car. Dont remember though

I've read that Mini owners protested until the rear fogs in their cars were made operational. Apparently the wiring was all there; only needed a switch to activate them.
