Think that's too close? That's with the stock hangers in the rear (couldn't put the kartboys on or else the muffler would have been in my trunk.) Think I should try and bend the hangers to get more clearance? I'm worried about the bumper catching on fire at VIR... Thanks for the help.

how long is the tip on the muffler? kinda hard to get a grasp of depth from the given picture. i think i'd be more concerned about where the tip of the exhaust lets out rather than how close to the bumper if melting/fire is the issue.

as long as the stock hangers are sturdy and don't have much give, then you should be good. could be that with the car on and giving it gas results in some movement of the exhaust which could rattle against the bumper - that would be my first concern after taking a look at the pic.

Yeah, I had a friend rev the car up while I was behind it and it did not appear to be hitting the bumper, just very very close.

And the tip of the muffler ends right as the bumper ends. It's slash cut and pretty much follows the line of the bumper as it goes down.

you might want a little more clearance. i have a little more clearance than you and my exhaust still rattles occasionally (this is with the kartboy hangers). the top of my muffler tip also got scratched up from rubbing on the bumper. i took my car to midas and the just bent the hanger down so that i have more clearance.

yea bend the hangers a little more...you should be fine at that height, as the muffler only melts if it comes in contact with the bumper, but better safe than sorry...melted mine with the CS exhaust and their silly hanger design...
