Ok i started a thread about 1 week ago about how my wastegate actuator was messed up and i need a new one....i could always get it fixed under warranty but that means putting my car back to stock which is a mission...so ive been looking around for an actuator and this is the only thing i have found... is this what i need? (the people from dynamic turbo here in miami said that my wastegate actuator is ruptured

you realize you'd need the T25 actuater which would be $120+?
I'd say go back to stock, you really don't have that much to do other than put the ehxaust back along with the intake and MBC.
If you change out that actuator, your engine/drivetrain warranty is gone, period unless you battle legally, which it sounds like you won't do.

www.atpturbo.com should have the product your looking for as well as brackets to allow our turbo to work with there waste gate actuator you may want to call them and ask what the spring psi is and you might also need a boost controller perferably electronic.

I'm surprised there aren't easier ways to get this fixed. There should be Actuators all over E-Bay...

Im change my actuator in 2 hours
use the original part from garret use the search for find the part #(in previous post)
the only dificult part is put the clip in the wastegate
use glue and large flat screwdriver
for the warranty problem purchase yellow paint in any Junker for 10usd and paint the two actuator bolts and the wastegate rod bolt
remember put the same mesure in the actuator rod this change the amount of boost take the mesure when take out the actuator for first time.

My actuator was shot to and it would make a ratlting noise at excatly 1800RPMS. I took it in to the dealership and they replaced the whole turbo. Its worth it to get a new turbo IMO.

Damn, I have this problem. Do you know if this affects the car in any way besides the annoying noise? It seems to drive fine. I have an FMIC and a CAI, and I've replaced my wastegate hose with something less brittle. I'm thinking they will probably deny me warranty work on it for the mods I've sone, but it's had this problem for a while. Way before my mods.

Jack you car up and check underneath the down pipe (J pipe). There is a small support bracket that bolts the pipe either to the car or the engine on the driver's side. Somehow I broke mine (probably from wheel hop) even though I rarely take off from a stop. It had broken in two pieces and apparently they rattled together only around 1500 RPMs. Once I took the bracket off the car was quite as stock.
May not be your issue, but worth the 5 minutes it takes to look.

For me it did not affect performance at all. The sound was very annoying to me and I couldnt stand it anymore. If you want to take it to the dealer the only advice that I can tell you is to put your car back to stock and bring it in. Im not sure the long term affects that this may have on the turbo but to me it was worth getting a new turbo anyhow since mazda will not just replace the actuator. Good luck!

That is pure bull shit. Go to a different dealer. They have to warranty the damn turbo.
