I posted a similar Question in the rims suspension section but i figured i may get more response here.
anyone have trouble installing MSP Racing Beat Springs on the rear of their 3rd Gen. i also have the tokico struts( brand new ) and i get a clunk from the rear.
everything seems lined up correctly and tightened down good, i don't see why a fitment issue would occur. this is the stock setup of the Speed right?

yes, to install the racing beats in the back of the protege IS A PAIN IN THE ASS.
Now, i have done that mod 2 yrs ago and for the life of me, i don't remember how i did it. It was me and two of my friends working up and down, left and right till we figured it out.
I hope that just gave you some comfort that you are not ...."slow", but the damn thing is just hard to put in.
that was for installation thou, i didn't have a problem afterwards...what do you mean by a "fitment"?

it seems like the spring is too small for the strut because it's barely compressed and i can move it while the wheel is jacked up.
i thought it supposed to be compressed in the strut real tight.

it might be the bump stops, you might need to cut or trim it down.

When we did this on SpicyMcHaggis' DX it was kind of like that seemed like there was play but i dont think he has any clunking issues.
