What fuel pump and injectors do you guys upgrade to for higher boost levels? We want this MSP in the 20+ psi range. What chips do you guys use? Does anyone make custom chips for these cars? Thanks!

you can do this all in one thread dude.
anyhow, although using the search function would really benefit you, ill give you some info.
as i mentioned in the other thread, you will need forged internals, new clutch, better tires, engine management, new FMIC, full exhaust, intake, WRX 440 injectors, walbro 255 fuel pump, etc etc to reach your goal.
also, at 20psi i believe your turbo is gonna be way maxxed out by around 17psi (correct me if im wrong people) so you will need a new turbo as well.
total cost to get you to 20psi+ and 12sec in the 1/4 is gonna be prolly on the closer side to 5k dollars EASY.
Forged internals - 1200-1300
Exhaust - 100-500 depending on the route you take (cheap custom etc)
Manifold - 900ish
Turbo - 1100ish or give or take depending on specials or new used
FMIC - 900-1000
WRX injectors - 100-200 (i think)
Fuel pump - around 125
clutch - 325ish
Engine management - from 750 up to 2200 depending on your route
Labor for all this shit if you cant do it yourself - a lot

the turbo on these cars begins to lose efficiency at an exponential rate starting at 13 psi if i am not mistaken. a gt28rs is a natural replacement. the stock intercooler is a total joke and will require an efficient FMIC or SMIC replacement.
matthew covered alot up there, to sum it up in basic there is a lot that needs to be done to these cars to put it into the 20psi territory. not many cars here have hit that mark. a question that routinely gets ignored in my mind is the strength of the transmission. tripoint engineering, who built the protege race cars, has said they do not feel the transmission can long handle more than 250whp. time will tell if this is right.

yea, youll prolyl snap some axles along the way as well, assuming you get traction. then there is the issue of the LSDs on the msp breaking like a frozen twig

give the guy a break. Let him feel his way around, he will learn after awhile. And dont go buy a Srt-4, they are ugly , keep the MSP, and dont listen to anyone. If you get beat by one, go hit some corners and your day will get 50% better. Guaranteed

One question though, why do you designate yourself to 20 psi, it seems odd to me you wouldnt just choose a HP goal. Or maybe a 1/4 goal. I would do that before saying you want to run 20 psi in the thing. But I would like to see what 20 psi does to the MSP

Eh, I have no problem giving people breaks but to come on and start asking about unrealistic goals when it's apparent he's used zero of his time actually researching the ideas... I have issues with that.

are 440s big enough? i know to hit some high hp goals on the dsm's you upgrade injectors and their stockers are like 450 i believe (dont quote me on that i just know they are up there)
