Anyone out there decide to get the LSD out of a MSP and try installing it in yours, if so what was involved, cost, time, was it worth it, etc. If noone has done it then theoretically how difficult would it be. I was thinking of it a while back while protegegarage was selling them, but never had the money.

we sold a handful of these over at protegegarage. i can still get them if you are interested. it will fit into your manual transmission no problem. you'll get better launch traction and more even distribution of power into/coming out of a turn

Equniox from this board had done this and it seems to be working well for him. I have read here in threads that if your Protege, P5, MP3 etc. does not have antilock brakes then you will have to do some custom work to get the LSD in your tranny. Like I said check with Equinox for details. His P5 doesn't have antilock brakes and his MSP LSD is working great for him.

Does this require new axels as well?

Sweet! *adds to future mods*

The wheelspin coming out of corners after now that I have my 2.0/manual is crazy! I never had that before.

as far as a job how intensive is it to install? this is my daily driver after all and more than a weekend would screw me right now because of school... anyone got a how-to on this?

Also, I read on the FAQ about the 24mm halfshafts from the MSP, any idea on cost?
