I want to get Mid-West Mazdas back together. I figure that once we get a few people back in this club we can sit down and figure out all the nitty gritty stuff. If you are interested either PM me or post in this thread.

Hi----

It would be great if somebody out there is willing to take the helm and run the club. About the money: Unless there is a specific reason that we need to have a bunch of $$ in the coffers, we could dispense with the monthly dues. I think that was the main thing that turned people off about MWM last year.
I'd be happy to continue to help with planning events. We did a couple fun things last year (I think). A night at the Drive-In movie, a couple short cruises.
Hope some more of the original crew will be up to giving it another try.

That would be great. I could really use your help as I don't know any of the other members. My name is Matt and I go to school in Kearney. Let me know if you know of anyone else that would want to join.

joining up! my name is matt too!

i'll tell brandon (he has a blue MSP) to get on here too.

That would be great. We now have 2 members and maybe a third on the way. The more people we can get involved the better. I guess I'm what you would consider the President since I'm setting this whole thing up again and Red Zeppelin ( Haven't found out a name yet) is the event coordinator. When you post for membership please add your name, car, and e-mail address so we know how to get ahold of you. Thanks.

I'll start I guess.

Yeah, I'd be up to doing some stuff to get the club back up and running. Though, I have to be honest, I'm looking at cars right now. Checking out the tC and perhaps a used BMW. Doubt it will work out, too much equalty in my car right now. Still, fun to look. Looks like we might have some new members interested though. Perhaps we can include the Scion guys so Ryan can join in ;)

I don't see why it would be a problem for some guys with some other cars to come hang out with us or come to our meets as long as the rest of the people in the club don't mind. We might want to try and decide if we're going to be strictly a mazda club and keep it Mid-West Mazda's or if we want to incorporate other cars and call it something else. Anyone have an opinion on this? I think that I would like to keep it Mid-West Masdas because this is where it started and what it is, but if we get enough people with different cars involved we'll have to change it or maybe Mid-West Mazdas could be a smaller part of a larger club. Kinda like how it was in the "beginning." I'm glad to see that we already have a few new members. Anyhow, how do I get this thread made a sticky and replacing the one that is already up there?

daedalus
02-23-2005, 09:32 PM
i'm down for keeping it just mazdas, but if other cars show up no biggy. I just dont want to be a part of some stereotypical gay car club called "Tizight Rizidezzzz" or something like that. I'm just up for mazda owners getting together, going on some cruises, talking cars, and having a good time.

m_long84

I couldn't agree with you more. I don't want Mid-West Mazda's to turn into a stereotypical car clublike you described.

So you live in Kearney?? that is a bit of a drive from the folks in omaha aint it? I would not honestly know as the farthest west i have been in NE is Lincoln...

m_long84
02-26-2005, 01:53 PM
Yes, Kearney is a bit of a drive. It's about two and a half or three hours. It's what I have to do though if I'm gonna be part of midwest mazdas. That will be the only way that it works for me as I'm sure that the people from Omaha wouldn't be willing to leave Omaha and come west for a meet. I'm kinda stuck when it comes to this subject and I can say that I don't really mind. I wouldn't have started trying to get midwest mazdas back together if I hadn't already thought of that.

I'm in the process of setting up a membership list and have sent pm's to a few of you for some info. So far it's looking good and if everyone sends me a reply we'll have 6 including me so far. That sounds like enough interest to maybe start thinking about having a meet. What do you guys think?

Daedalus,
Where and when is the world or wheels event being held? I'll definately come down and check out your ride if I can make it.

i'll be down at the car show in march, if your there by your car when i go by it, i'll stop and chit chat just to see what you've done and whats planned for your car. maybe it'll give me an idea of what to do with mine. i've got a start, but that start is running low on the dolla's to keep it going...but we'll see what happens.

Yea its gonna be close to see if we can get the car done for WOW. We still dont have an engine... and it might not be here for a week! That gives us about 4-5 days to get it running and assembled from a pile of parts in the corner. *crosses fingers*

I'm in school currently and was thinking the exact same thing. I just hadn't gotten around to posting anything about it yet. My last day of class is the 11 and don't have to go back until like the 21st. I was planning on coming to the world of wheels show to see daedalus and his car. If this works for anyone else speak up and we'll get something goin'.

I bought my car in Georgia, had it delivered to me on a wensday, it spun a bearing in the number one cylinder on that friday. I never even got through a tank of gas on my NEW car. Took it to Woodhouse, where they preceeded to circle jerk me around, and void my warrenty ( car has 15,100 miles). They claim that the owner before me put a CAI on it and that caused a bearing to fail because of the change in engine harmonics. (uhm) Keep in mind the engine bay was stock when i bought it (how the hell was i supposed to know it had been modded?) Anyway, after a month long ordeal I ended up towning my car from woodhouse over to transonic and now I'm waiting to have a new engine (MAM shortblock) put into it. I have had to pay for all repairs out of pocket. Woodhouse sucks cock. Over 7 months, I have driven my msp less than 300 miles in the two day period before it blew.

PFGRacing had an oil change done by woodhouse on his MSP a while back and then while driving down the road, his drain plug fell out and his engine seized. Keep in mind Woodhouse was the last people to touch the engine. Yet, would they honor their work or warrenty the repair? NOPE. He is also having to pay out of pocket for all of his engine repairs.

Woodhouse sucks. If you ever buy a car from there, do yourself a favor and drive it back and crash it through their showroom. I know I would, but my car still hasnt run.

That's great because I only turn 21 this year and I think that is about the right age range for the club, and really it shouldn't matter if you hold an interest in cars and modifying them.

We also went to the drive-in movie, which was fun---I'd like to do that again.

Well, where to start.

First off, I don't consider my self old. LOL

I find it kinda rude to just assume that you can become the president of a club that you didn't start. I put allot of effort and time to try and get the club up and going. I had reasons for having membership dues and club stickers. I made this apparent to everyone that I spoke to about MWM. I have been part of a few clubs before and even helped found another deceased car club. I took the exp from this to build a club that I tought would thrive. But to thrive, you have to have members willing to take part. The only member that I could always count on all the time was Michelle. I know other members where busy with life and such so don't go blaming it on club policy. The club will only be what you make it.

I am still president of MWW and have never made any declaration of the clubs demise. If you want to continue with the club please talk to me. I have email that really no one has attempted to use.

I live in Shenandoah which is an hour from Omaha. I have made trips there on many occassions for club meetings. I have hung out with Big Ballin on occassion. I did everything I could think of to help the club grow. Again, to grow it takes participation and honestly, there wasn't to much of that.

I currently don't have my Mazda anymore but I am looking at getting a new car, most likely a Scion XB late this year or early next year.

Of course, you can do what you want. I cannot stop you from using the name or the Logo that I came up with. I would appreciate it though if you talked to me first since I am still the president.

I tried for quite awhile to get things going with no response in this forum.

I am glad to see that there is still interest in the club and familiar people still on here.

I would like to see the club grow be active again. I am also willing to talk with anyone about the club policys.

Thankyou, MWM prez, Erik

Where to start myself???

I was interested in getting a car club going becuase I had not been able to find one anywhere in the state. I stumbled onto this one and thought "hey maybe this has the potential to become a club again." The reason I say "potential to become a club again" is because the club lost it's president when he lost his ride (I'm really sorry to hear about that) and has had no leadership what-so-ever for the last 3 months. The last post even made about MWM was in early December before I brought it up. As far as I was concerned the club was dead and I was looking to revive it. I understand that you may have had club dues and policies for a reason, but I listened to what people had to say and made changes as I saw fit and have even picked up some new members because of it. I didn't just assume that I could be president. I took the responsibility of the role after no one had heard from you for two and a half months. I have also put a lot of work into this lately and don't see why it is fitting for you to just step back in here all of the sudden when you see that the club might be able to trive again. The only reason that I was still going to use the name was because it was already in place and it was something that people were going to be familiar with. I didn't even know that there was a logo as no one had ever mentioned it to me. As far as I'm concerned I am the new president of the club because even if I didn't intially start it I brought it back from the depths of thread hell and I have been the one working on getting everyone organized and together again. Frankly I find it quite rude for you to just step right back in after 3-4 months of not saying or posting anything and assume that you are still the president after all the work that I have put into the club to get it going again and to find the old members and even some new members. I'm not going to turn this into a power struggle because that's not necessary, but I do think that Mid-West Mazdas should stay strictly a Mazda club. Now if it can be a branch of a larger car club that includes more than just mazdas that would be fine. As far as I'm concerned Mid-West Mazdas is a Mazda Car Club. If you still want to be part of it you should be considering buying a Mazda and should be talking to me. Of course I can't tell you what to buy for a car or make your mind up for you, but what I can say is that I assumed the responsibility of club President because it had none. I got in touch with people, old members and new, and got the member ship base back again. I'm the one that has been talking about having a meet and getting everyone back together again. This has been going on now for the last one and a half to two months and I find it kind of odd for you to just step in and finally say something now.

Thank You,
Matt

Well, I don't want to turn this into a thread war.

Honestly, after thinking about it, you can do what you like with MWM.

After the months of hard work I put into the club, I was dissappointed to see that no one was interested at that time for whatever reason.

I don't see myself owning another Mazda after the crap they put me through with my last car.

I had thought about revamping the club to include other makes and making other changes to revive MWM but at that time there was no response.

Eventhough my last post was over a month ago, there is still email and a thing called the phone and no one attempted to contact me which lead me to believe there was no longer any interest in MWM.

Anyways, good luck with MWM.

Hey man, if you were planning on revamping things and including other cars than that's cool. I just got a little hot headed when I thought a little bit about what you had posted earlier. Maybe it's time for the old to meet the new. Maybe the real solution to this problem doesn't lie within one person giving up responsibility and the club. What do you think about working with me. WE can compromise and work together and then the club will turn out better in the end than what it would have. PM me if you are interested and we can discuss what will happen.

Ryan, you are funny with your comments about.

I already have 9 XB's. Of course they are Die-cast. I am getting a real XB but my budget and plans will not permit this until early next year. So till then , I drive the hooptie around. Saving money for a big downpayment.
Not worried about the power, I will find a solution for that too.

Now, as for MWM. The club is still in place. Matt and I have been talking and we have some good ideas that wil lmake MWM better for everyone.

I would like to apologize about being absent but I am now here and not going anywhere.

MWM is going to be revamped to make it better for everyone and multi-car.

At this point, this is all I can really say. I would hope that everyone that was involed with MWM will stay and help Matt and myself take MWM to new heights.
Remember, this is everyones club, not mine. I considered you all friends and enjoyed the time we all spent together. I would like to see this continue and see us all make new friends. That is the whole concept of MWM anyways.

One thing that I will ask at this time is that if you have any ideas, please PM Matt or me and let us know what you would like to see MWM be.

How does everyone feel on a name change. I like the MWM thing, so I was thinking:
(hi) Mid-West Motion(rockon)

Just a quick thought I had and I like what the word motion will represent. Moving forward !

Any thoughts and suggestions are welcome. please be nice though.

Actually, they taken in sales people before with no Technical backround and they have done well. Just have to have a knack for that sort of thing.

I have over 11 years of technical work experience and already having an Electronic Engineering Degree helps me but my previous work and Military training give me a big boost too.

I have been talking to the Field Engineer from RedOak for a few months. We are working on a ride along to let me get a feel for what is involved. I meet his boss last Thursday and we got along good. So I think it won't be too long before things are a go. There is supposed to be a position opening up sometime soon so it will most likely come down to if I really like what I will be doing and pay.

Glad to hear you liek AFLAC. It is nice being able to do this sort of stuff at work. This is what keeps me from going insane. LOL

Yeah, I know the P5 wasn't blazing fast. I know the XB's arent that fast. Give it time and there will be solutions to it being slow. Like I said, time and money will solve that problem. A motor swap can be done. I know it will take some work and it won't bolt right in but it can be done and the problem with being slow will be solved.

I am getting the Xb for other reasons than being fast. I will have another car for that. I will most likely just do what I can bolt on wise to improve performance even if it is only 15 -20 HP. I just like the XB! I just have to get financed which is the hard part. Might take me another year before this can happen.

Didn't get to go to WOW, I had to work. Didn't have the funds anyways.

Did you make it to WOW Ryan?

Well the TC would be nice and I agree with what you say, but, there's a few details you need to know. I have a wife, 3 kids (2 kids live with my Ex-wife) and 2 huskies. I don't see all of that fitting in the Scion TC if needed. Plus, the Xb is cheaper and gets better gas mileage. I have to drive from Shenandoah, IA to Omaha and Lincoln once in awhile so right now gas mileage is important.

Once I get the XB, I am going to try and find another Del Sol. I loved my old one and want another one to trick out.

Think about a Del Dol with an S2000 engine, rwd drive conversion, and the auto top from Japan. Thats what I want!! I know it will cost but thats what I want.

1G isn't bad considering I know they used to go for like 3g's. Hey, a man can dream right, plus this is something I have been thinking about for a long long time. I really think I am going to do it. It might take me awhile but I know I would absolutely love the car and not want anything else. Knowing how much you loved you Sol Jason, I think you would love it too. I think a wide body kit wqould be in order too.

I have to take care of the new car thing first which will be later this year or early next year. Then I am going to look for a Del Sol. Not to particular of what model or shape. I will then take it all apart in prep for the radical changes it will undergo. You will be more than welcome to help me out once I get started on it.

Of course, this is a huge under taking and I will be attempting things that I have never done before and honestly don't know if I really want to do a huge project like this. Granted it would be fun and satisfing but I know I could not do it myslef. Having a place to work on it will come into play also. If I cannot use the garage where I used to live, it might be a job i will trust to placed that have done conversions like this. Shops that seem to mostly reside in Cali.

I havent bought any parts through them. Well, I bought my H.I.D.'s through them but thats it. I am only having them install everything. And its not really their fault. I mean, in their defense my car has been sitting in their shop for 8 months now and I havent had to pay a dime for storage. Other cars have come and gone, and frankly now that all my parts are finally in, they cant just drop all of their other projects now to work on mine. They have one LS/VTEC swap to complete on friday, and mine should go under the knife on sat-next week. The truth of the matter is that I am one of transonics top people, and Brandon (the owner) knows this. He is trying to get to my car because he knows i want it badly, but there are only two people that work there and things take time. I'm willing to wait as long as it gets done rigth the first time. NO not Metro-- I don't have any stereo equipment mods (not really my thing) -- I may use them for new rims however -- they just asked to use my car at WoW when someone else referred them to me. I think they try to dablle in selling some performance mods but don't install anything themselves.

Any blow joe can put the right components on and do it properly you need a professional tuner with experience with ignition to make a car run fast and properly. Also I was wondering do they make an ignition with multiple switch settings.

For example in my race vehicles we had ignitions that had a 4 different settings and you could program them however you wanted, For i.e when you put it at position 1, you have a mild advance program, 2 you had mid advanced ignition, 3 you had have an extreme advance position, and 4 maybe stock or something very near blowing and perfection. If they don't make anything like this would anyone be interested in having something like this. I know the gentleman that designs and builds these things, but I'd want to make it worth his while, real good guy.

Well -- I don't know anything except my own experience which has been good or I wouldn't make a recommendation. I spoke with the owner of the M3 and he was also a pleased customer. I have also spoken with a 350Z owner and a MR2 owner and they were pleased. Believe me I wouldn't have given my 8 to somebody begging on a street corner -- I checked some references first. In a car community I am sure there are always lots of stories and some are true and some aren't. The M3 story is probably a good example. I was there when the owner of that M3 let another M3 owner drive it because he was also considering an SC-- it is not slower than stock ... LMAO.

Yes, my 8 is getting professionally dyno tuned and ignition is certainly a part of that -- especially with a 9k redline :). I am not sure why you would need a special switch if you have the right EMS. I can program and run multiple maps with different ignition settings (low boost and high boost).

PGFracing
04-02-2005, 07:11 PM
How can you run different maps? Without stopping and uploading a different map? With a switch it's on the fly, when you need it, that way for daily driving you can keep it really in the safe zone. Also allows to run different fuels.

Is your car done? I stopped by Transonic the other day to investigate, see if I liked what I saw and heard. When he said he could fuck with my car he lost any opportunity on modifying my car. Clearly sounded like that it would be a new opportunity to try things out instead of a tested and proven method of tuning. He did say he has one that he is working on now (Protege), and was wondering is that your's Daedulus? I hope your car is up and going by now. Man if not I FEEL for ya.

Any how has anyone ever met up in this club and why oh why did anyone ever decide that you need to be 25. Where did that insurance figure come out of? Brandon is a different type of guy. He doesnt like doing things that he doesnt have experience with. For example, he really doesnt like me using MPI over E-Manage (which he has tuned with a lot) or AEM Standalone, etc. Also, in his defense, he now has more experience tuning MSP's with aftermarket goodies than anyone else in Nebraska. Every MSP with a FMIC in Omaha was done by Transonic (4 in total) and two exahust systems, and some tranny work on another.

What were your plans?

That's strange because when I asked him if he has ever done anything with an MSP, he said no but he is working on one now and would have it done this week and would know more afterwards. He said, talk to him after that, which I again thought is total BS. Why would I spend money on a project that just got done and hasn't had any road proven testing behind it. The dyno means crap until it proves itself on the road in performance and durability. Also, Excuse my ignorance, but what is an FMIC? Fuel Management . . something maybe?

My plans are pretty simple. 25HP Nitrous system that kicks in at 2nd (with a switch on the shifter) gear low to mid throttle (sensor on the peddle). MBC, replace the air box with a cone filter, and up the fuel delivery system if necessary. A couple of other things that I can't mention, but I figure the above things should put the car right around 0-60 in around 5.3 and give it 11.0s in the quarter. I'm 100% stock right now with a KN filter, no boost. Now if I can't buy these components for $10HP they pretty much just get cut off my list.

Most of the money I'm seeing spent on sport compacts and mods in general on american cars is just a plain waste of time anything over $10 a HP is a complete rip off. I'm seeing guys spend $5,000 for a .5 second improvement from 0-60. Many times they are spending around $1,000 just for sound improvement, what's the point. Shit I could go buy a used car put a sweet body kit on it, smoke their car and still have $2,000 to invest on something that could buy me another car down the road.

daedalus
06-10-2005, 12:48 PM
Well he has done Front Mount Intercoolers (FMIC) on MSP's before mine included. And i'm sorry that my car isnt "road proven" yet but lets be fair here, i've had it in my possession for less than 60 hours. Road proven will take me some time but belive me it was built to be reliable.

He mentioned earlier that a guy stoped in asking about putting Nitrous on his car. Have you done you research on this? It is a pretty proven fact that nitrous + msp is a bad combination without internals, and especially without tuning of some sort. No offense, but 11 in the quarter? Not a chance. Dont you think that if 11's were so attainable by these relativly cheap modifications there would be a shitload of cars in the 11-12 second times? And didnt you just have your engine replaced?

If you check the 1/4 Mile sticky in the MSP forum you will find that only ONE msp out of everyone in this place was able to hit 12's, and hes got more money in his car than I do, and more HP than I do, and more HP that your plan will yeild you...

12.949 @ 112.262mph- Focus - FMIC, SRI, Internals, GT28RS, MPI, 3" TB Exhaust, FCD, M/T Slicks (18psi)

I'm not trying to rag on you or anything, and if you dont trust brandon, dont go there take it to sublime and see what they can do. My suggestion would be this. Get a DSM AFC which will yeild you double the HP/Tq than your 25 shot, provide you safer tuning and daily drivability and maximize any setup you may end up adding to your car.

PGFracing
06-10-2005, 08:05 PM
What is a DSM AFC? I really don't see 11's being that tough to achieve. The car doesn't need much more to get it there, if you look a those times posted you'll find a big disparity in stock times. It's mainly just the nut behind the wheel causing that disparity, in some instances the cars are stock with tuning done to them causing the faster times. I'm most concerned about my 0-60mph time as the quarter will rarely be beneficial, so I'm most after torque. Do you know if anyone has tested the PSI flow on stock exhaust (before the cat)? I was curious if the stock exhaust is any good?

I really don't see 11's being that tough to achieve. The car doesn't need much more to get it there...
If your "cone filter", MBC and NOS only gets you 5.3 sec. 0 to 60, it would seem like you'll need alot more horsepower (not just torque) to get to 11s in a quarter.
I don't have any experience with TRANSONIC...yet. But it "sounds like" when you started talking NOS, it was he that lost interest. :)

Very nice! SO, I bet you are happy now that all that work is behind you. Are you happy with the results and the workmanship of Transonic?

So what is the final WHP/WTQ numbers?

Have you run the 1/4 mile yet? Curious to the times you might get.

Makes me wish I had my Mazda back. Ya never know, if I can get a good deal on a used M6 Wagon/MSP/MP5 I might get one.

I'm very happy with the work Transonic did. Everything was done correctly, and put together so that it would be totally functional but still look awsome. The extra powdercoating on everything and polishing of certain items really set the engine off inside the car. Its the little xtras that really show the detail they put into it.

Take your car to sublime, and you wont see workmanship like that, garunteed.

No 1/4 time yet, i still havent installed the MPI tuner or tuned it yet. HIN KC is this weekend so i'm doing that and then hopefully finishing up all the little details afterwards. I'll keep ya updated.

Well, I'm glad to hear you are happywith the car. That's really all that matters and that it will last. Can't wait to see some numbers on the car.

My car plans are on hold right now. I know what I want to get but I am waiting right now to save up some more dough. I am in no real hurry. Sides, winter is right around the corner and I might just wait till near next summer to get a new ride.

Well granted the underside of the enginebay isnt "blingin" but its more of a purpose built car. Its got 16g turbos, a FULL fuel system, 720cc injectors, standalone, alcohol injection, Tein Flex coilovers, and a one-off hood from japan that is the only one in the U.S.

Car will be good for a 10 sec 1/4 mile and frankly thats not bad for a daily driver.

oh yeah for sure man. and thats what ben has got is the td06's. but he went ahead with the black phantom turbines and bigger piping among an array of other things. Does this guy have a standalone, piggyback, reflash, etc?? it wasn't mentioned

I'm not dogging the car whatsoever but i'm jist super excited to see ben's car on the street. If u see it, it's blue with gold Volks on it. If u know how to get ahold of this guy we could line these two up and see two phatty ass 3000's rippin up the street!!

N E way car update:
Woodhouse calls me and says i need a new engine. They say that my intake voided my warranty and that i'll have to fork out 6g's to fix. I went round and round with these fools. Finally i call Mazda Corp. and they say that there's nothing that they can do its all on the dealer.

So after two days of headache i raised enough hell to get myself a new engine!!!!

Tight!!! anybody wanna protege5???!!

daedalus
07-22-2005, 11:18 AM
same thing that happened to me except it was gonna cost me 7k...

If you want a quick fix for cheaper, olstens in lincoln has a p5 block that you could pick up for 300-500 bucks and brandon could swap it in to your car for 800...

a cheaper alternative if you need it. At least then you could sell the car with some sort of resale.

Well, finally got a car. Had too, the Bonne wasn't sounding too good so it was time to trade in. The bad part was getting financed. After days of trying finally found one dealer in Lincoln to get me a deal. Here's the downside, I was trying to get this used 04 mazda wagon that was loaded for 18k. It ended up being way out of what I could afford with all my bills. No one would finance me on a new car so the Scion Xb was out. So the lot I went to had all one owner cars that had some pretty decents prices. They had an 94 Civic Si with 13k miles for only 13k but I had to get a family mobile. So I after looking at all m car options and thinking it over, I went with an 04 White Dodge Stratus Sedan R?T with only 1o.5k miles on it for 13.5k. Keep in mind, I really wanted an import that would work for the family thing but now that I have had the cars for a few days, I really like it. Still has factory warranty and just a few small scrathes.

So, my XB and import days are on hold till I get my credit back. Im gonna give it about a year and refinance then get another car most likely.

Its hard to support a family on one income so this is what I had to do. Hopeing that I can come hang with ya'll someday and check out the rides and BS.

The plus side, is that there are some performance mods available for this car and it already handles really good so it does have some possibilities.

Hoping that by the end of next month i can roll up to Flashback on Wed and bs with ya'll.

07-27-2005, 06:00 PM
Both are good platforms. I would think the 240 would be cheaper and there is a ton of stuff for it.

Glad you where able to sell you're car. I just happy to have a nice reliable car again. Might not be what I reallyt wanted but I am actually very happy with it. Funny thing is it is allot like the P5 was that there isn't a whole lot of aftermarket support yet for it.

m_long84
07-28-2005, 08:22 AM
True the 240's are cheaper, but I'm having a harder time finding one that I like and that hasn't been modded yet. Most of the 240's that I have seen already have the sr20det swapped into them, which isn't a bad motor, but I was thinking more along the lines of an RB26DETT (Skyline). That engine would be awesome in a 240, especially since it weighs all of 2700 lbs. I found a 300zx that I like and am checking into now. If you guys see anything let me know.

I ended up getting 16K for my car. It was a little less than what I wanted, but it still took care of my loan and got me out from under it. I just got back from Colorado yesterday. I went and picked my car up. It's a 1995 Nissan 300ZX. It's got ~58,000, paint looks new, engine bay is probably the cleanest you'll find on a 10 year old car. The only thing that needs a little work is the interior, which won't be hard. I'll post up pics as soon as I get them. Oh yeah, I turned 21 today so hooray for me. No offense, but as suggested earlier, NESS is probably a more viable alternative right now. http://www.nestreetscene.com/ After registering, PM a guy name bheiman. He's the mod for the MAZDA USER GROUP and can let you in. They also have alot of other sections that might be of interest....depending on your age. Since I'm a fossil, I tend to stay just in the user group and Sanctioned racing.

really i just wanna meet some mazda owners to make friends and work on cars together or get help, id like to meet a couple guys to help me install my turbo when i get it this upcoming spring, i dont wanna drop my car off and wait to get it done for some huge amount of money, id rather work on it, learn what im doing etc...

my goal is after i work my way up at Pepsi(sweetest job ever) and start making the big bucks i wanna open my own shop, My name is Brandon Tripp, my shop name will be called "B"Dubz...will be like a metro audio, will sell stereos, wheels, performance, etc...i already know how to do complete stereo installs, ive done many of my own and friends, i just enjoy working on cars, but didnt go to school for it.
