I noticed lately that my hood and front bumper are not the same color, they are close but not exact. Is this due to them being different materials, the bumper is plastic and the hood being metal?
Thanks

I believe it's because the metal primer is gray, and the plastic bumper is black. My blazing yellow does the same thing.

my hood and front bumper and part of my drivers side door are slightly off than the rest of the car because a ditzy, unattentive girl decided to pull in front of me and cause 3 grand worth of damage.

I believe different parts of the car were painted in different locations. Much of the MazdaSpeed add-ons were painted seperately and attached to the car when it was in the port.

The first orange one I ever looked at the dealership had the same issue. The spoiler and quarter panel were different colors but just slightly. I'm thinking some parts are painted seperately and with different mixtures of paint. It is nearly impossible to mix an exact match even with PPG. And paint is going to lay out differently on different shapes of metal. Not to mention light the paints at different angles and will play tricks on your eyes. Plus that orange is a pretty complex color. It's not something that anyone else will notice so don't worry about it .

No really, it's the difference in the gray primer on metal and the black plastic of the bumper. The paint looks darker on the plastic pieces.

unless they used no sealer i would agree. i think alot of the parts were painted at dif places, so thats why they proly look dif. but i dunno.

My hood seems to be the darkest though.

Mines just the opposite...all plastic pieces look darker, on yellow, at least.

My yellow was the same way. My Titanium one is harder to notice though. The bumper lips have been replaced so I think they did a blending at that time.
