wax on cf hood?

does anyone know if you can put reg. wax on a cf hood or will it screw it up? i think i remember reading on a website that you have to have special polish or wax or something....just wondering b/c im about to wax my car and dont want to screw anything up.

I dont think it'll matter because it has a clearcoat but I could be wrong.

thats what i was thinking...about the clear coat...o well guess i could try and see what happens.....ill let you guys know once i do it...now its looking like it might be friday before i do it. thanks

good question! i just got a DG hood on monday and am going to wash and wax the car this friday and then park it in the garage all weekend. (goin to jax this weekend with the roommates) wax it again on sunday night when i get home :) i think my hood has at least 2 or 3 clears on it cuz it's sooooo deep. looks like i'm starring through glass to see the c/f. looks amazing. wax will make it look deeper. can't wait!

^^ I know what you mean. My Ion hood is the same way..it's like a kaleidoscope. Regular wax should do it though.
