I picked up a set of these luminics bulbs from Cullen at street unit (http://www.***************/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=SU&Category_Code=LITE) and they are a great alternative to high priced bulbs and hid. They look really cool and there are different shades. The different colors renge in price from 21.00-24.00 so they are great bulb at a good price. If you need some bulbs check them out.

There is no replacement for HIDS. I find that superwhites are harder to drive with than par say regular bulbs. <3 4 HID's

I disagree in a sense. If the car came with HID's, that's great. But too many people buy those damn purple aftermarket lights that don't do shit byt look cool in the hang-out parking lot. But they blind the shit out of people because they aren't lined up right. Silverstars or the ones posted above are probably just fine.

I agree Freak. I have Silverstars in my car and I think they are great. Best bulbs I have ever used, for the money I don't think you can go wrong.

i think he was suggesting those bulbs as an alternative to high priced bulbs, such as piaa, raybrig, ipf, etc.

how difficult are these to install?
? they are just regular h4 bulbs. you can swap em out in like 2 minutes (at least on the msp)
if you don't have the manual, it's pretty much this:
1) open hood.
2) unplug electrical connectors to each headlight
3) take off that rubber sealing thing (wiggles off)
4) unclip metal holders by pushing down on the bar that goes across the bulb (pushes down and swings out)
5) pull out bulb
6) put in new bulb
7) put metal holder back across the bulb to secure it in place
8) put rubber sealing back on
9) plug connector in
10) turn lights on
you can even do it in the dark

they simply replace the stock bulbs right? no new housing...? which looks better, the ultra white or the Ultraviolet (what would you compare them to?).

Stock replacement bulbs, takes about 2 minutes. Hyper White resembles an HID brightness with a very small hint of blue. Ultra Violet is the same brightness with a purple tint.

Interesting, I may try out a pair since its only 21.00. I was thinking of forking out the 300 plus for HID but I may give these a shot

H4 is the MSP yes. Yellow bulb is definetly a yellow light, not just a tint.

my main concern is the wattage. silverstars are 55/60w, hence DOT legal. since blue wavelength gets dissapated easily in the atmosphere, the luminosity and effectiveness of the lights are diminished. bulb manufacturers often use 85/100w or higher to try and compensate and that would make them DOT approved for parking lot use only.
btw, european silverstars dont have a blue tint glass that the US silverstars do, if you want marginally brighter bulbs (and still legal) than the US silverstars go to powerbulbs.co.uk however if they are bright enough and you like the "whiter" look, the US silverstars came from the exact same assembly line in germany. ^_^

Send them back and we will give them to someone local to put to good use... Everyone has been very pleased so far, sorry you are dissappointed.
