I was going to order some GC coilovers today when I called this company (they will rename nameless) and they said that they don't carry them for the MSP because they had a bunch of problems. Can anyone attest to these issues. I had them on my 92 protege for 3 years with no issues. Was he just trying to steer me away from giving them business or what.

Uh, I have a set on my MSP right now lol
The kit is the same for all 3rd Gen Proteges: DX, LX, ES, P5, MP3 and MSP
The only thing you have to do it grease the tophats every 3-4wks to prevent noise and proper motion.

I had em on my car, no problems aside from the noise.

I ran them on a MSP suspension under my Pro5 for a long time before I switched struts, but I still run the coilovers with different rate springs. They are fine if you can take a little extra maintenance and noise. You can also ask GC about getting custom rate springs. The fronts are good, but GC sells a 200lbs spring for the back to keep the car from oversteering. Most MSP AutoXers want the car to oversteer a little more than normal. I'm running a 450lbs spring on the rears right now, but the MSP struts won't handle that high of a springrate. I wouldn't go much over 350lbs if you did want to get a little more rotation in the car.
