Looking for Fellow Mazda Owners

I wanted to get a Mazda Car Club organized if we can get enough people interested. Is this a feasible idea?

^^^^ hahaha. they tried that already. the 'prez' had his car repoed and club fell thru. might get some more interest if you don't charge mandatory monthly fees. good luck

If anyone is interested and would like to help me set this thing up it would be great. Charging monthly membership fees is insane. I could see having a small yearly membership fee and then having fundraisers (car washes, cookouts, etc.) to raise money for the club and events, but this will take a lot of work and I won't be able to do it on my own. I'll look at the member list and see if I can get some people to come back under a few new terms and conditions. This is one of the things that I really hate about nebraska. (jerkit)

my opinion on the car club is that it's suppose to be like a hangout thing, just to go and chill with some people, go drive around and tear shit up around omaha on the roads, not to pay money and have a damn job title. and for events and stuff, yeah fundraisers would work, but i say if you wanna do something, it's just like hanging out with your friends, you pay your own way. i guess thats the way i see it. if somethings gonna happen, it's gonna be small. and another thing is in my eyes, for cars to be in a club, they GOTTA be nice lookin or atleast takin care of. no rusted, dented, fallin apart junkers. but that's just my opinion. good luck! and i'll keep my out on how it goes.

Well, I think that it would be fine if everyone paid their own way. I'll start a new thread and if I can get like 25 or so people interested we'll start to talk about having a meet, where, and when it will be.

we could barely get like 7 when we first started out, so 25 might be reaching for it, but if you get anything organized, and i am in town i will be there

I think that you guys are probably right 25 is really stretching it. Besides it would probably be more fun to have less people like maybe 10 or so. Once again let me know if you are interested and once we get like 5 people or so we can start thinking about having a meet.

i agree with "jaskel" . A couple Rx-8 guys were interested in MWM at one time, and one even came out on our cruise to Memphis......it would be good to get them involved.
