Hi I found this articles about engine knocks... My Protege 2000 LX 1.6L had been doing knocks for like 1 years already, not a heavy knock but like a small one during hard acceleration. Here are the lists of the things I inspected...
1. Good Coils
2. New Spark plugs
3. Good Oxygen sensor
4. Did fuel injection service
5. Good Battery terminal
6. Good timing belt
I tried using 92 octane gasoline, the kocking still exist, but then I found this artile...

Do u think this will related to my 2000 Protege? But the artile indicates that it is for 1995. Also, the symtom it described in the link is exactly same as mine. When the car idle for 5-15 minutes after, and I do a hard acceleration, the engine knocks regardless to octane rating... It indicates that it have a bad PCM module. Do u think that will apply to my protege 2000? If so, how much a PCM module cost, and is it difficult to locate? Here is the picture of my engine...
