Its time for the Mental Addiction Dyno Wars event! A great time to meet some new faces, have a great time, check out some built motors, huge turbos, and rock the rollers! The date you need to keep open is Saturday, March 12 from 9am and go all day under the last car is taken off the rollers! The Mental Addiction Dyno Wars event will be held at AZ Dyno Chip, 513 North 54th St, Suite 5, in Chandler! Price of dyno runs INCLUDES hotdogs, burgs, and soft drinks!! Cost is just $45 for 20 minutes and just a buck every minute after that. If you want to dyno, you better get there early and get your name on the DYNO LIST! Mental Addiction will have a few of their Street Sleeper Kits and Thumper Kits for the dyno! This is going to be such a huge event, HiBoost will ALSO try and be there to represent his products!

World of Wheels isnt until the next week so i dont think there would be schedual conflicts. If anyone drives through TX, take 40 through the pan handle. It is quicker to go that way, I've driven through the big part of TX going to MD from AZ and throught the top part to AZ from MD and the top is the better way.

What coils are you getting?
replacing my stock 99 coils with stock 01-03 coils. It says they shipped today. Was supposed to be last week, then monday.... At least they are finally on the way.

the 1.8L coils actually have a stronger spark than the 2.0L. it's been tested

You have an sources? Juan from HiBoost recommended wiring to the later years, as they have the better spark.

The 1.8L coil pack (It's a single pack, with twin coils attached to one and the other) presumibly allow for more even spark distribution.

The twin coil with leads system seems to, at least in my experience, 'bake' the spark plugs directly under the coils on cylinder 2 and 4. Here's a picture of the ceramic at the base of the plug browned, and a nice, fouled ignition front. This is only after a couple of hundred miles:

The Protege's I've worked on with the FS-DE, have all shown signs of this happening, consistantly.

The WSC Protege's use them, as well. I'll be trying them shortly, so I don't have to change my plugs every month. But we'll see how it turns out.

I don't know what Nick is making, however with the haltech you can work with almost everything.

The DIS2 from MSD is the one to use with haltech for powerfull spark, however i have built cars with the Protege coils and E6X up to 650WHP on a 4 cylinder engine at 28 psi of boost. So I believe in these coils and the simple setup.
