Hello, I recently got into a little fender bender with a SUV, no damage to the SUV because my hood and grill went into the spare tire that is on the back of the SUV and missed hitting the rear bumper and everything. So I am looking for a hood, front grill and possibly a new front bumper because of it has a knick out of it from I don't know what.
I have a 2002 Mazda Protege5 and wanted to know if the protege's hoods were compatible with the Protege5 and if so which years I could pull from and are the hoods the same on the 2001-2003 protege5's. I also need a new front grill, the upper one that has the emblem on it. Does anyone know how much the stock one is or what are some good after market ones. The last thing I need would be a new front bumper just not sure what the price difference is between an after market one and an oem one.
Also are any of these parts on the 4 door protege's and which years. If so I’m looking for these parts.
I will post pictures later today of my car when I get home from work but if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Phil

The hoods from 2001-2003 Pro5s are the same.
The front bumper will need to come from a MP3, MSP or Pro5, not a standard sedan.
I'm pretty sure you can use any grill, but the DX/LX sedan has a chrome upper piece, instead of black

hey man.. I just got the same damage on my car .. except I was forced off the road by some driver asleep in a pickup truck .. and hit a road marker. The upper grill on the p5 from dealers is about $200. The lower grill is $30. The bumper is $230 for a remanufactured one. I'm planning on getting a CF hood and installing it myself. I just don't know where I can find a cheap CF hood.

DUDE, I NEED that hood man. Email me the price and pics, and we are going to have to talk about negotiate on shipping since I can't go to CA from NC to pick that thing up. By the way, the exact price of the top grille at the dealer is exactly $159, thats with 7.5 NC tax. The lower grille is about $80, and the bumper was $275 with tax.
If I can get this hood for a good deal, cool, if not a friend can get me a CF hood for about $320. The dealer really shafts you on the hood. I was qouted $455 and that was before tax. Good luck fixing your car man. I know its been pure misery for me.

if shipping is involved it is more than likley well worth your money just to get the CF hood. shipping for hoods is usually quite high, not to mention boxing it well so it doesnt get dented.

Damn .. Where are you located? ..I live in Toronto. I'll be in San Francisco/Santa Rosa/San Jose from Feb 25-5 .. If you're closer to LA I'm not sure if it's worth the 6 hour drive.

The big problem with a CF hood is when I fix the car and sell it to get a manual Protege5, not a lot of people like the aftermarket look. And in North Carolina there aren't a lot of people that like to buy modded cars from my experience. So
if you can, try to get me an estimate of what it would cost me, thats if you want to take the trouble to do this.
Thanks

The grill's are different between sedans and P5/MSP's
Good luck though with everything.
