Now I know Im not the only one who has this problem or might notice this. But on some days my stereo seems a lot louder than other days. I always keep my volume at/or around 19-21. But on some nights I have to turn it up to like 24-25 just to have it sound louder. Then on some nights, 20-21 can sound TOO loud.

Anyone else out there slowing losing their minds? jk

Temp can affect how dense the air is and that will require you to turn it up and down. Also I have found that on Cloudy days the radio signal is weaker, since it is passing through the clouds, so you will need to turn it up.

Now if you are talking about CD's then I would def say it is the change in air temps. Also keep in mind windows up and windows down will affect how loud the system sounds.

i would say its the song that your are listening to. air temps can make alittle diff. but not that much. i have competeing in car audio compititions for many years (spl and sq) and unless you have an air temp change of about 30-40 degrees will not see much of a diff. on a meter you would see a slight change but not on your ears. especially in vocals. i know what you are talking about, i have it also. it usually seems that at night its the loudest, but remmeber, you are usually more relaxed at night and your ears become more sencative, and or the disc you are listening to is better recorded. if its on the radio you are having this issue. its simple, sometimes you get a better signal than others. and as for cloudy days, its usually better. due to the signal bouncing off the clouds. now its its really cloudy and raining, then it will be bad..

How about this....some days the Bass is real good, other days it isn't. It seems if it's really cold, the amp or the sub doesn't work...I got no idea.

If you are talking about the bass, then yea it is a difference in air temps.....Music can also change and the quality of the recording..

It's not the radio, it's in your head.

No, I'm pretty sure it's the air temperature and pressure depeding on if his windows are up or not. (gossip)

It can be the woofer surround - polymers get stiff when cold, and don't allow as much excursion - that'd explain the "softer when cold" - I notice that too - softer sound when cold because the woofer surround is stiff.

That's probably the reason the rest of the system is not as loud too.

(now that I read that, it sounds kinda dirty...)
