I get a great deal on tires so it's making it impossible for me to make a decision on tires now. I've been looking at almost everything and it's making my decision harder to make. I'm really starting to like Yokohama AVS sports but the KDW2s and the Eagle F1 GS D3s are very tempting. I don't auto-x or drag, but I want something that's going to allow for better launches than the stock tires and will maintain or surpass the OEM tire's handling. I'm in SoFL so snow's not a problem ever. It rains here, but if I survived on the RE040's then I think I'll be okay on pretty much everything else. The one guideline I'm trying to maintain is under $200/tire (based on tirerack prices, though I'm paying less than that) and good wet handling.

I also live in FL and have the Goodyear F1's. The grip is just as good as the OEM tires. But they are 100% more quiet. Last week I was in Pompano Beach and got to test them out on the I595 off ramp to SR84W. What a crazy turn at night with those lights. I far exceeded the 10mph suggested speed limit and the car gripped extremely well and the tires never made a noise. I am sold on the F1's for the life of my MSP. You gotta love the tread pattern too. I bought mine from tirerack and received a $75 rebate from Goodyear.
Good luck with your decision.

I'd also check out the Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Positions (I have them and love em) or the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 (not sure if they come in an msp friendly size though).

I just got the Toyo Proxes 4 and I must say they are excellent. A lot of people say their side walls are kinda soft so it gives that mushly feeling but i think they are actually great once u put 40 psi in them. Anyways I'd also check out the BFG g-force. Those tires are very good as well.
BTW toyo proxes 4 i got them for $88/tire + $30 shipping + $80 for install + $16/tire for road side harzard insurance.
so total was around $526 for everything
