So I take my car to the dealership to get a new audio deck and unit installed, they had hella trouble with it, took them like an hour and half. I realized a few days later that they hella scratched up the area around the deck excluding the fake carbon fiber. It actually looks like they used touch up paint to cover up the scratches. its hella noticeable. Do you think the dealership will give me a hassle? besides complaining to them, what else should I do? Can I go to Mazda USA or something to get the matter resolved because I foresee them not takin responsibility?

Unfortunately you may be screwed without proof. (before and after pictures) But you could go and take it up with the dealer and/or the tech that worked on the car and hope that they aren't assholes. They will most likely deny it though as it's money out of their pockets.

yea, the same thing happened to mine and since i had a different radio in there while mine was on order they wouldn't do anything about it. said i did it while putting in the other radio. bunch of bs if you ask me but they wouldn't replace it. good luck

go drive back to the dealership and show the service manager. stress that it was NOT there before you had your stereo installed. i had the same thing happen when i had my kenwood replaced. it was a little harder for me because the dealership was sold to a new owner so they didnt want to take responsibility for the damage. they replaced my storage compartment but they didnt want to replace the center console (cost too much??? whatever). it's one of the reasons why i dont go to that dealership anymore. oh, and they scratched my car when they washed it and tried to buff it out and now there's a slight haze. yup...sux

Same thing happend to mine. Dealer replaced the radio but I ALWAYS give my car a very good once over when I get it back from them. I noticed the scratches right away and marched right back in. They gave me crap for a few minutes but eventually gave it.
ALWAYS look your car over before you drive off from the dealer! This is not the first time they have scratched something.

why did take you a few days to notice it if it was so hella noticeable?
That happened to me too. I went back in and showed the service manager. He wasn't happy but he said they would repair it to it's original state or replace the entire console. He even put it in writing for me.

Call the service manager and or the owner. That is unacceptable and trying to touch it up and not telling you about is B.S.
I had my MSP mats stolen at the dealership. I called the owner and got them replaced. I didn't notice at first becuase I have rubber mats over them to keep them clean. I guess the scumbag thought I would never vacuum the car and notice that they were missing.

I guess the word "hella" is strictly a northern cali bay area a word. Lol people down in socal think it's hella weird when somebody says that.

I had that happen when they fixed my head unit at the dealer. It looked like they pryed it out with a screwdriver. At least they replaced it for me without any problem. Of course, I noticed it while driving away, so there was no misunderstanding about who did it.

That's pathetic. How can these dealers do such crappy work? I'd be in that service manager's office screaming and yelling. I can't stand incompetence.
