Does K&N have an intake for a protege with 2L?
Wouldnt it be the same?

at least it doesn't show up on their web site. The only thing I found last week was a drop in filter or ES and P5. Jim
K&N makes their Typhoon kit for the Pro 2.0l motor. Part numbers are: 69-6020tb(blue), 69-6020tp(polished), 69-6020tr(red)and 69-6020ts(silver). They have been available since Sept and retail for around $350.00.

I'LL GO! I just sent them an e-mail. I'm in Redlands, CA (about 20 minutes away). I keep everyone updated.

you are gonna have to send an email yourself because they require the following information:
Name
Phone number(s) (daytime/evening, cell or pager)
Year, Make and Model
Engine (example: V8-5.7L)
Transmission type (automatic or manual)
Any modifications done to your vehicle
send info to: vehiclelist@knfilters.com.

Taken care of. I had sent them an e-mail through the link you provided on the original post before I replied to the Question. Thanks for looking out.

i just replied as well... I have an MP3... but im assuming the kit will be for both applications.. seeing as how the motors are the same and all... well maybe I'll get to do it :) that would be pimp... plus i can always call the girl i know that works there and see if she knows anyone in the development and research depts...
If you resd closely they are looking for 94-01 protege5. The first model year the Pro5 was sold in US was 2002. So unless you shipped yours in from overseas I don't think you will fit their requirements. Like I said before, they already have the Typhoon intake kits for both the MP3 and the Protege 5.

look like an oversight on their part because obviously and we all know it there was no p5 before 2002. those who emailed them keep us updated please.
No 2001 MP5? I really believed Mazda started selling MP5s in 2001:confused:
