Hi Guys, I am from Cape Town in South Africa. Been browsing the forums for a while and got my Etude in October last year. Our Protege is known as the Etude here in SA and we only got the 1.6 and 1.8, not the 2litre or turbo:mad:
Anyway, this is my car, Its 2002 Etude 180iSX. This is the top of the range Etude in SA meaning it comes withh all the bells and whistles. Elec windows, full leather, aircon, 6 cd frontloader, full bodykit, alloy rims etc..
Changes made thus far are the Exterior:40mm lowering kit, 17 TSW Apex in anthracite,Interior: Isotta gearknob(soon to be added short shift) Isotta pedals, panasonic MP3 player, Kenwood sub and 2 starsound amps. (Will be adding neons and playstation2 soon.)Engine: Unichip, custom stainless steel exhaust , KN Filter and racing cams.
Unfortunately I dont have the power figures as the mods have been done by the previous owner. I will have the car dynoed and tuned shortly..
The standard motor pushes out 90kw so i am hoping with these mods i am getting over 100kw.
Thats enough for now, let me know what you guys think(cool)
ps; these are just some quick pics. will post better ones soon.
aloha from hawaii. nice pics! :)

welcome aboard dude. very sharp car you got there. nice wheels. I beleove that is the first 4-lug P5 I have ever seen. If you know of any big brake upgrades for the 4-lugs let me know, because there really are none here.
P.S. oh, your steering wheel is on the wrong side. :p

Nice fricken car man, like sweet!!!! and with those mods you're prolly doing alright in the power too, looks so nice man. I am very impressed, and if you got that Hiboost kit, you'd be riding in some seriously nice/fast style. Sweet ride man, and is that actually race fuel in your trunk, or just a display piece?lol

All our etudes are 4 lug as these are not really considered to be performance cars. In fact mine is one of only a few of these sportswagon's that have been modified. Mostly soccer mom's and oldies are seen driving these cars so you can imagine how surprised guys are when i pull up next to them at the lights and they wanna give it a go, Great fun(thumb)

LOL, that was taken at the racetrack where my buddy was racing his modified mazda pickup. I was keeping the race fuel for him. Thought the setup looked funny, kinda like all the essentials needed for a day at the track, the booming sound, race fuel, be ers, race fuel and wheel brace(lol)

Awesome, this seems to be a new discovery almost.
You might get 1000 replies from sedan owners asking for parts.... since the DX/LX version of the protege only came w/ disc brakes in the front and drums in the rear.
I'm among them. I want to convert to all wheel disc brakes.

Noticeable differences: color matched window trim, chrome hatch trim, silver machined alloy wheels, no auto trans offered, the front passenger seat turns into a table when folded, slide switch instead of button for recirculating air, front and rear bumper covers, 4 point steering wheel, JDM tail lights, and no roof antenna.

Nice car. I really like that front end. I had noticed the color matched window trim and was wondering if it was something you had done but I guess altspace answered that.

Yes lets trade bumpers. You can be the only one w/ the round foglights and no orange markers. :)
Looks pretty good! Just curious, is there a reason for 2 antennas?
