I purchased some seats off a local forum member, im sure all of you have seen them the mazdaspeed seats off ebay. The seats are actually pretty nice, about two months ago i mounted them quickly and just used the stock brackets. Well the seats sat extremely high, and just the other day the bracket broke. So im taking the time this time around to buy new brackets. What i am asking for is alittle help in a direction so i can have brackets made, or buy some universal ones that fit our car. Any help would be very appreciated because as of now my car is off the road for construction. Thanks guys.

Your stock brackets were probably not made for the seats. It shouldn't break like that at all. Anyways...you probably might have to go to a tuner shop and have fab you up some custom brackets, and adapters. I'm not sure if any of the seat manufacturers make adapters/brackets for those seats.

www.mmrusa.com and get their brackets. . . pricey (may even cost more than those ebay seats) but pretty good build quality

A shop told me seat brackets for Sparco Torino's would cost about $320.

um well i trust ebay seats. Before i put them in my car i tested to see how they where made. Unbelievable to you it may be the seats are actually made very well. Not the most comfortable if i was bigger but for me they fit perfect. Thats why i put my life in the ebay seats, because they where cheap and to me where a good buy. Thanks

Testing seats means putting them through a crash test as well. I dont' think you did that since you're still typing on here. Seriously..those prbbly won't hold up in an accident.

Monk- sparco brackets/adapters/sliders didn't even cost that much for the protege and I have them. Got them for around 200cdn. So..whoever the shop is..rippin you off.

Seriously though, just because the back won't recline when you lean in to the seat does not mean you'll be safe in an accident. You do realize you're trusting your life to an unknown vendor/source, right?

How about I just send a gun to your house and leaving the chambered bullet out, telling you "it's okay, just pull the trigger a few times"? The first time you pull it, you'll survive so does that mean you'll try again?

Bad analogy there but seriously, how stupid do you have to be to put your life in the hands of an ebay seat?

whatever clay, its not your car or your life so who cares. although i agree with you, its his choice and no need to preach about safety to the gobs of people who will buy anything with a bootleg Mazdaspeed logo on it.

Hey I just bought some mazdaspeed seat belts and seat belt mounting hardware, man are they cool! The mazdaspeed logo I think is in the wrong font, but none of those stupid civic owners will know the difference! I love the new seatbelt brackets it came with too, it replaced all that crappy black powdercoated steel with SICKASS red plastic mounting brackets, besides I probably saved 30 pounds getting rid of all that heavy seatbelt bracketry, thanks eBay!

I just don't want many others seeing this thread and following the footsteps of him, dying as a result. Natrual selection needs not further assistance.
