Im getting a DVD in dash for my msp. I was just wondering if anyone has done that install yet, and what the difficulty is. Can i do this myself or is this something i will have to have done by a pro. Also is it just a plug right in with the wires existing or is there more hardware required. Help me out boys. Holla at me.Thnx

Are you getting in dash screen as well? or just DVD.... If you can followed colored wires it is not rocket science ...You should be OK:)

takes about an hour if it is one of the all-in-one dash units... You might want to run out and get a Harness Adapter and pre-wire everything in your home where I hope it is nice and warm. What model Screen/DVD player are you installing? That would add to your install time. Mine has the brain for the reciever under the seat and DVD is a 2nd unit...

Its a complete in dash screen and dvd player. the kenwood KVT-715dvd. Not the most expensive but im sticking with kenwood. So does this change anything or still just basic easy instal?

You may get lucky and be able to re-use the existing harness. Which would mean all you would have to to is unplug existing radio, plug in new one.

I'm also thinking of getting a screen radio/dvd, and the kenwood too, and was wondering if you just switch the the storage pocket to be above the radio?

Got my screen installed today, just took it to mobile one and had them do it for one dollar! and they also but the brain under the passenger seat, it could be done yourself but hey why not just pay the dollar and have someone else do it!
