View Full Version : Titanium + FG or CF Autoexe grill !?

Im thinking about buying an autoexe grill but cant decide between fiberglass or
carbon fiber. What do you think would look the best on a Titanium Speed ?

titanium painted grill insert......if you want to go the CF route definately buy a CF hood otherwise paint the fibergalss grill.........

Ya thats what I tought first but I saw a pic of a Titanium with only the grill and it didnt look so bad, so thats why Im asking people :) !!!

I have a cf grille on my titanium without a cf hood and I think it looks good. But the only reason I got it was because I was getting a cf hood to go with it.

i also have a cf grill and eyelids on my titanium....it looks good.

it would look cheap and out of place w/o the hood IMO

I'd go glass and paint, even if I do get a hood I'd go glass and paint

Seems that people prefer fiberglass. CF doesnt look so bad, but its does look a bid odd when you're close to the car...
I think Im gonna go with FG!

dude, it's all a personal thing. personally, i think the CF makes the car look m-e-a-n. I like the CF a lot, with or without a matching hood. just my thought.

get the fiberglass grill if u aren't getin the cf hood, if u r getting the carbon fiber hood, then get the cf grill

mspro had a titanium msp with cf hood and cf grill, it looks sick, but it also had other cf parts

As much as I like carbon fiber.... There is such a thing as "too much". :)

That's why I will be painting a portion of my hood so it's not such a huge piece of carbon in one spot.

And yes, it is kind of a personal preference.

I'm gonna order my fiberglass one on wed. Still don't know where I'm gonna have it painted though. Macco doesn't do that good, they didn't with my eyelids anyhow.

Is that the same grill you can buy at DG Motorsports. They say the carbon fiber one only fits on Protege 5's and 03 MSP's. Not on 03.5's. What's the deal?

I've got the DG grill on my 2003.5 Mazdaspeed.

I don't see where their site says it doesn't fit the 2003.5's. This is what the description is. "This piece fits ONLY P5s or MazdaSpeed Proteges with a P5 style front bumper. Simple installation, DGM's famous fit and finish."

'P5 Style Bumper' aka Japanese.

thanks. grill and eyelids are dg motorsports cf. The turn signals look blue when off like that but they light up white when on. I got them off the we from koolites.com or something like that. The brand is Luks. They are pretty good also i had them as my headlights for a while till they blew out.
