I was just sitting there - hardwiring my Sirius Sportster to the back of the cigarette lighter - now it's dead. I don't have a manual and can't locate the fuse. Anybody know which one it is or if it's something else I f'ed up?

How did you get to the cigarette lighter wires? I've been trying to figure that out for a while now and I can't find anything by searching. If you figure it out, which wire is the positive and which is the negative?
Thanks!

I muscled it right out the front - it'll go. The black wire w/ white stripe is positive (I'm assuming - remember - it just stopped working on me so I may not be the guy to ask. . .

And none of the fuses in the kick panel box are called cigarette light or auxillary or anything.

Fixed it.
The fuse (which I never found) was OK. There is a fusible link on the back of the cigarette lighter - it looks like a short piece of wire with black insulation - it's not wire. Soldering to either tab will melt this (you may not notice it's melted). I replaced it with a piece of wire and everything works like a champ now (though whatever that fusible link was protecting is no longer protected).

The hardest part of this job is getting the cigarette lighter out. The wires that feed the lighter are barely long enough to come out the front but they'll reach - barely.
