Hella makes great fogs....there is a new set out called Black Magic (http://www.hella.com/produktion/HellaPortal/WebSite/Internet_usa/ProductsServices/Performance_Lighting/Black_Magic/Black_Magic.jsp). They appear black during the day, and....well...whatever color the bulbs end up being during the night. My only concern is fitment and size. With the housing, the bulbs are a little over 7" wide. Without the MSP lip....what size fogs can fit in the bumper (i.e. what size is stock on P5's)? If the Black Magics will not fit, I will just get a smaller Hella set. I am also going to stencil some sort of logo on the IC.
Also....anyone have pics of the MSP with a CF lip? I saw someone on here with a Buddy Club lip....well if you want to call it that, its just a flat piece that bolts to the bottom of the bumper. Model numbers would help, I dont know which ones will fit our car since they don't make a specific one.
Thanks for the input....photoshop picture is below:
Note....the HID's are gone now :(

I had 6" fogs in mine without the msp lip and they didn't even come close to fitting in all the way. They looked good but they just dont look as nice and clean as OEM fogs do. See, they are to big and you cant adjust them, hence the reason I never had them turned on. I tried it a couple times but they lit up the side of a 3 story building instead of the ground lol.

Do you think it is possible to mount them towards the front of the stock fog location? I know the 'hole' in the bumper gets smaller as you go back. I dont know how stupid that would look, but they would just be flush with the front of the bumper rather than recessed. This would also make them more adjustable (if I am buying expensive Hella's....I will need to actually USE them!).

You think the fogs alone would make it look like a P5, or the removal of MSP lip and fogs combo? I think just fogs, it would still look like a MSP. I think a CF front splitter instead of MSP lip would keep it mean, but I am still deciding. Anyone have pics of the MSP - stock lip + front splitter?
Again, thanks for the input.

never seen a splitter on a 03.5 but i think it would look hot!
I think adding fogs would be allright, but dont take off your lip! I love the 03.5 lips because they look different, and identifiable. Fogs just aint my bag of chips, but its your car dude. I will still love it just the same!
i attached the only pic of any type of splitter on an 03.5. Its those corksport ones...

My first step is to see if I can get the fogs in the stock location with the MSP lip. I know it will take some customization, but I think fogs look good. I am thinking the large fogs might not look so good though. Might just have to settle for smaller ones.

Just remember, if you do a bunch of mods, be prepared to get to get shit when it comes time to sell the car. There's an article from a consumer magazine floating around here that says that mods significantly reduce the value of the car. That's why I'm not mooding the appearance, and have kept my stock intake and hardpipes.

I think I might run this into the ground. Wonder how long it will last......
I guess when you sell a car with mods, sell it as if those mods were not there. Unless you find someone that is looking for a car with those mods, you cannot factor them into the price or it will never sell. I have to face the facts.....my habit is expensive.

the 03 msp came with p5/mp3 foglights. the 03.5, thanks to the lip, will not house those foglights

those wont fit, and if you try and put them towards the front of the fog light openings I am pretty sure they will be shaking all over the place when you are going down the road.

i like the fact that mine don't have fogs, and i think the bigger the uglier, because they weren't on the car to start with and you'll be able to tell, looks akward to me, i like the stencil idea, was planning that too, when i get a fmic. thats pretty good photshop skills though, you cant really even tell the fogs arent on the car, but they do look weird, just my opinion.

I am thinking no. They are way too big....more for a truck. It sucks they make their other fogs that are smaller, but not the black magics. You would have to stabalize them quite well, that bumper/lip move quite a bit while driving. I am going to look into smaller fogs, I just liked the larger ones when I first saw them. Thanks for the input guys....I will send pics when I finally decide what I want to do....and of course this white stuff needs to get the hell out of here.

well i am thinkin' about addin' some to my 3.5 as well, and i like a size bigger than Dr. Sound's (above), but smaller than the previously discussed....prolly just head to autozone and pick some up for like 40 bucks...fitting shouldn't be that much of an issue...yellow would be good color i think.

i would say that if you want the 'correct' or traditional fitting, get some p5 fogs from somebody on the forums...otherwise, go check out autozone or wal mart or something and pick a size that you might like. go measure.

You could duct tape flashlights into the bumper holes and tap into the switch wires by the batteries. Then you could route the wires up to your dash and put a switch there. Mag-Lite madness. (thought)
