I would say to leave Ghost out of it only because I dont get to spend as much time as I do with him when he's on here some days. (yeah, I'm greedy like that). But I WILL say that he stayed on here the other day for several hours helping out and investigating the crap out of a guy for a bogus group buy because he spammed on our website too. He had about 5 hours sleep because he was doing all that for this community and didnt want to see another 2loww scam in the making. He knows what's out there and he's knowledgable about almost any vendor, but I realize that there are also other qualified people on the board too. I'm just vouching for the guy because he kept me up while he was working on that, because no one else would or didnt know what was going on until it was almost too late and is on here just about every day trying to keep everyone abreast of events and group buys even when he doesnt own a Mazda anymore.

Just giving my $.02 as a member, not as anything else. I'd like to see anyone run that section with the same dedication, even if it wasn't Ghost. So long as we can all depend on them to look out for us Mazda guys (and gals), it's kosher.

sign up anyways. its not about post count IMO as it is about candor, dedication, attitude and respect towards vendors and members.

depending on what kind of hours, rules, and expectations, i would be interested.

I am a mod on our local board, and for this board all i have is the handling of the g/b i organized.

As much as i like that ghost noticed and acted on a recent thread i still dont like how it was handled.

Imagine if thier was just some miscommun. and the bodykit is made. how does that make this forum look? Ungrateful for people trying to make cheap options for our cars? I do i agree that the deal does seem to good to be true and johndg who lives so close to the guy and only have 3 post doesnt count for much... but thats not what im debating nor do i want to i just think whoever gets the jobs needs to made aware on how to handle things in a professional manner.

Also i have not applied for the postion nor do i intend too just a personal feeling on the matter.

It was already to a point where members "might" have already sent the money, there weren't any better way to do it professionally besides telling the members not to sent the money. Regardless of the situation, ghost was trying to help the community out (dedication) and he does in fact have past experiences with being a moderator in such a big community. Besides, capncavem should've read the marketplace rule instead setting up GB.

Also, this doesn't really make sense to me that they WANT our money to start the bodykit molding? I tend to think they should make at least ONE prototype kit to test fit and if everything goes well, they'll start the actual production and collect the money. Hell, even DGmotorsport made prototype for autoexe lip to test fit and THEN collect money. I think it's just rubbish that they want our money to start the production, it's like they can run away anytime.

Ok so lets send pms back and forth, contact the admins, then try to find out if this guy is legit (which he isnt). Then after all this is done, get him to have an AV status. Now when all this is done lets kill the thread.

Come on man gimmie a break. People were about to send cash the VERY NEXT DAY!!! Thats why I acted and why I did what I did. Me and Aime from DG were the only ones helping people out when 2loww came about. And its because of me that at that time the rules were ENFORCED fairly and equally. I cant say that I didnt make mistakes, but I know I did a hell of a job getting the for sale section squared away. Pat can personally account for that, as I had many hours talking to him and helping him with several situations.

I agree there is a time to take it to a personal level with a vendor that is reputable and proffesional, but in this had I needed to act quick to stop it at its tracks. After all, I would not be blamed for not doing anything, it would have been the mods (that are nowhere to be found) and the admins that would have carried the blame.

Thanks to all that have supported me in this matter. I def appreciate it. I might not get the job, but you guys know Im still here.

Wow!...Great response...I received quite a few apps and most of them were impressive...I really appreciate all those who took the time to send me a genuine application...It's great to see members who are willing to offer their time and effort to keep the NV-FS/FG forum in check.

I wanted a team of 3 Mods and it was honestly a tough task narrowing it down...I've realized this community has a lot of very cool and professional people...from those in the Military to Business owners and even Parents!

So...I've chosen and pm'd 3 members with the final step...if everything goes smoothly...I will announce the new Moderators of the For Sale / Group Buy (Non-Vendors) (http://www.msprotege.com/vbb230/forumdisplay.php?f=131) Forum soon...Stay tuned! (rockon)

I know you already have picked the moderators I am just posting this in case you need more for other areas.

I'm new but have been a monderator for forums before and have tons of forum experience (around 6 years). I understand I am new to this forum but sometimes you need a little new flavor. Plus I am doing TONS of research on this car so as I learn stuff I can help others.

This is all I read over and over again on forums, scammers. I developed PATENT PENDING TECHNOLOGY that works with FORUMS, it can work on this forum and will MANAGE the entire group buying process and best of all its 100% FREE!

Here is my latest press release.
Press Release - In the news (http://www.prweb.com/releases/2005/2/prwebxml205296.php)

I am looking to network this technology with various online forums to build the largest group buy portal of aftermarket auto parts.

Here are the features:
- GUARANTEES 0 fraud. We don't use a pathetic feedback system and we monitor each transaction.
- System will match buyers together and create groups regardless of vehicle make/model
- System can close group buys in 48 hours or less
- Free membership
- System can be integrated with online forums, FREE of CHARGE

That about sums it up. Moderator(s) or ADMIN of this forum feel free to PM me about integrating this software and take control over your group buys.

Whatever you're on, go sleep it off. When you're well, use the search button, and then post in the correct forum.
