Carbon Fiber Hood quality [Archive]

I have a 2003.5 yellow msp and was looking for a carbon fiber hood. I like the VIS oem style hood and was looking into pricing on one. Whats the best place to look? They seem to go for 308 + shipping pretty steadily on ebay. Any opinions from owners on if this would be a good idea? I know carbon fiber can be flawed sometimes and actually dont know but, are there hoods that are completely flawless and perfect? or do all of them have flaws even though they may be very very minor? Thanks

no offense, but you really should search, there is a topic already about VIS fenders and some opinions on VIS quality as a whole like 4 topics down, plus i'm sure there is countless threads throughout the forums...

welcome to MSprotege though, there is a lot of knowledge here, once you sift through all the bullshit :p...

Welcome, like ^^ said doing a search is always good. Basically what the search will tell you is stay away from vis hoods.

If you want quality, fiber images is the way to go, and you can PM me for a quote on a hood for you.

Vis is cheap, and as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

I would look into gemini hoods. They are ALOT better quality then VIS and in the same league as FiberImages if not better. You can get them at www.*************** (http://www.***************)
