A guy on this board is having a problem (protege73) and needs our help. He unhooked his battery to reset the ecu, and when he hooked it back up, the alarm started going off and the car wouldn't start. I've searched, but can't find the fix.. does anyone remember the sequence you do to reset it? Thanks.

unlock it. close the door. lock it. unlock it.
if it still doesnt start, hold down the remote ovverride switch and start the car.

Fire several rounds directly into the alarm brain...mechanical insolence cannot be tolerated.

mwuahahahaha, thats what I wanted to do when mine went nuts.....I settled with honking the horn...and then starting the car...mine is really fucked up though, I can't lock it with the remote, or else it goes off, solid horn, not honking, just blasting, and won't stop till I start it(if I'm lucky, sometimes it just won't turn off till I go nuts car on off on off etc)...but thats what happens when your car gets struck by lightning
